So as many of you know, we are officially 70 days to arriving in WDW! Woo Hoo! My Mom and Dad are headed down via airplane on September 11th, 2013. They will be staying at the Contemporary main building for the entire length of their trip. They are extraordinarily lucky and get to stay 8 days. We will be arriving in Florida sometime on the 14th and will check in to the Contemporary (if I have anything to say about it) as early as possible on the 15th and head straight to Animal Kingdom. We plan on doing the usual suspects at AK. Start with the safari, wonder around a bit and hopefully eat at Flame Tree for lunch, ride EE for the first time for me. My mom and Cadence, my DD, will sit this one out for sure as my Dad may as he has some health issues to contend with. Festival of the Lion King and the Nemo shows and whatever else we can fit in before heading back to the Contemporary to unpack and freshen up for the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise! Woo Hoo! So excited about this one.

So been pondering what to do for my daughter's clothing choices for the trip. I have one Mickey Head shirt made with her nickname "Cade" on it (pronounced K-dee). Not digging on it a ton, but if I can't make ones I like better than I will keep it in the loop. She has a black knit skort, a hot pink knit skort, and black knit scrunched capris that I have bought for bottoms. I have hot pink shirts that I bought a while back from Michaels that I am going to make a mickey head with a princess applique crown. I also have a peace sign, heart, and crown applique that I am thinking about making a Peace, Love and Princesses shirt with (thanks @HouCuseChickie for the idea!). I want a dress of some sort for Cadence's actual birthday and I am thinking about ordering one from one of the cool places @coachwnh was nice enough to share with me. It worries me though becuase it is sleeveless and my daughter is smaller on top and has a hard time wearing tank top style dresses and shirts without showing her boobies. So not sure on that one. @HouCuseChickie also shared a really cool chevron Mickey head applique I think I may order off of etsy. I love the colors in it and am obsessed with chevron. So that will take care of four tops and 3 bottoms. We will be there for a total of 5 days. I want to make sure I have several outfits just in case of spillage or accidents and imagine we will change into different outfits after a day at the park in the heat if we go out to dinner. So still perusing etsy and other places trying to find some cute stuff. Wishing Gymboree and other kids places would put out some cute stuff!

LOVE the bottles!!!! Very cute! :)

I really love the chevron appliques...I just wish mine would arrive. Three of the four I purchased came from the same seller and she was super fast with her shipping...unfortunately, the chevron one is still in transit. I had been hoping it would arrive before NOLA, but it's not looking good.

Another site I mean to share with you... http://www.haloheaven.com/ They sell at wholesale prices - so it can be a decent savings if you're buying a number of things. I like ordering bulk flower clippies through them and I've gotten a number of our pettiskirts through them. In any event, they have a number of fun tops and bottoms that can be jazzed.

As for the changes of clothes...while I'm also a big fan of having back up clothing...back in 2011, we took a different approach. I bought each girl a smock. They wore the smocks at meals, they cleaned up pretty easily, and the cute outfits underneath were spared.

Thank you so much for that website! I have been wanting to get Cadence a pettiskirt but never been able to afford any. Guess I better order my chevron applique if I want it to be here in time! :)

It's insane what places charge for pettiskirts. I found this place back when we were prepping for K's 4th bday party and realized I could get one for a fraction of the price. They also sell the matching ruffle shirts on there. So...$9.50-12 for the pettiskirt and $4.50-6.50 for tops...not bad at all. They've just got so many fun things on there. I'm still thinking about the LED tutus...I mean, what else would you pair with LED hair? ;) Also, sign up for their mailing list & I think you can like them on Facebook...they sometimes offer free shipping and customer loyalty coupons.

The LED Tutus would be so awesome if you cold incorporate them into their costumes for the halloween party!

YAY!!! So glad you were able to pick up some stuff on there. There are a couple of pettiskirts I'm considering as well, but not ready to make that decision just yet. It's good that you're getting the wings now since a lot of their stuff sells out before the actual season. i.e. people buy the fairy wings now to kick them up a few notches so they can be sold in Sept (for Halloween) at boutique prices.

So I have had some issues with embroidering my shirts. Not getting to use it every day is definitely a problem. I did two shirts today after a miserable attempt on Thursday. I ruined my Mom's shirt and have to go buy another. :( I am not happy with my Dad's shirt, but it will probably just have to do. The letters look so tiny on his 3XLT tshirt. I may just have to do something to it.

Excuse my daughter's sleepy bedhead. She was so proud of her Papa's shirt. My husband's shirt turned out much better

So glad that I am ordering a few from people because I am just not happy with how they are turning out. :(

I'm sorry you're not happy with the shirts. I think some of the embroidery issues are probably just what you've noted...not using it every day. Are the letters a stencil or program to get the Disney style lettering? Maybe there's some way to create a double layer on the P in the Papa shirt to make the first letter stand out more prominently? Maybe even a fabric overlay and additional embroidery for that letter to make it stand out? IDK- I'm not very well versed on how the embroidery could work, but it looks like there's another Disney style P that 'could' work as a more dominant outline if it's possible to get in there and do some kind of secondary lettering over/around it. If not, I'm sure it would still be OK...not exactly how you wanted it, but still a nice shirt. :)
