Trip Report A Very Quick Off Site Trip

I can't believe we stayed off site!:arghh:
We went on September 5-9, but we drove because we had to mourn the loss of my father-in-law and just couldn't afford to fly or stay on site. Well, let me tell you...
No crowds!
Off site was very nice ( Embassy Suites LBV) in the area that has shops and restaurants about a mile from DTD ( an atrium style hotel). The free made to order omelet breakfast and evening snacks are a nice touch.;)
We bought our tickets there for MK and EPCOT only.
It was nice and peaceful, and only waited 20 minutes for Soarin, TT... BTMRR twice in a row w/o getting off!:jawdrop: Splash with absolutely no lines!
We did have very bad storms both days, but we managed.
We ate at Olive Garden, Black Angus, Johnnies ( expensive but yummy), and T-Rex was a 5 minute walk up!:jawdrop:
We also ate at Restaurant Marrakesh ( yummy) with no wait!:jawdrop: We ate lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, and it was delicious! My DH had the salmon salad, and I had the salad with craisins. So good!
I would go every time that week if I could!

My deepest condolences for your loss.

Great pics though. I've stayed at Embassy Suites a couple times with my family and they're very nice for the most part. (I only recall staying there for one vacation in Arlington, VA near the DC area. The other time, I can't exactly remember where, but I think it was San Diego.) Definitely one of the better hotels I recall ever staying in that I can remember. Still, I would do anything to visit WDW in September!

Bethy, I am so very sorry for your loss. Sending hugs and prayers your way. We have stayed at the same Embassy suites around 5 times. We added days to vacation several times in the past and wound up staying there. We always got a lanai view room and loved it. VERY relaxing. The breakfast was awesome, as was the manager's reception at night. You can't beat low crowds, thats for sure! Again, my condolences
