This New Limited Time Special Event centered around Descendants is sure to please all fans young and old, with an elaborate array of activities. A show, a Meet n' Greet, additional Streetmosphere, a shop, an interactive hunt, and a fireworks spectacular will help to make this event one of the greats.

Without further adieu, here are the new offerings:
Descendants Mischief Makers:
Look out in Designated Areas within Hollywood Studios for the Descendants Mischief Makers. These misfits straight from the Isle of the Lost, will be creating mischievous moments for, and with guests. These scoundrels will sneak guests to the front of the line on favorite attractions such as The Great Movie Ride, and Rock n' Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith, taking and giving things out to children (such as stickers or plushes). Be sure to look out for these mischief makers on San Fransisco Street, where they have turned the street into their own adventure course. Watch as they balance on pipes, graffiti the buildings, and even swing overhead from rooftop to rooftop. There will be approximately 20 mischief makers in the park at any given time (3 of which will be on San Fransisco street, split into three shifts. The first shift from Park Open-12 will have 16 who will travel in packs of two or three. Three will be at San Fransisco Street, while Four will rotate between Rock n' Rollercoaster and Sunset Ranch. Two will be stationed in front of the old backlot tour entrance, and three will rotate between Center Stage, Commissary Lane and the Muppets area. The remaining four will rotate around Echo Lake. Two will be added to the center stage area and two to the Backlot Tour entrance area in the afternoon shift (12-4). The final shift from 4-8 will only station Three People in Echo Lake, and three in center stage.

Descendants: Hall of Villains
In the old Jack Sparrow building, the all new interactive theater experience, Descendants: Hall of Villains, will bring guests into the magical world of Auradon. A sign marking the entrance will be created, with a digital wait sign. This attraction will have continuous shows, from Park Open to Park Close, in a similar format to Voyage of the Little Mermaid. This attraction will offer FASTPASS+ in limited quantities. The experience begins when guests enter the pre-show room, where we are at the entrance to the hall of villains wing, with an eerily familiar mirror in front. Once the 180 people enter, the mirror springs to life with an important message from the Fairy Godmother. She warns us that weird occurrences have been happening in the Hall of Villains, with their statues coming to life. She tells us that we will be listening to an audio tour on the villains upon entry, and to enjoy. We enter the circular theater surrounding four statues of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil, which seem to twitch briefly, but you shrug it off. Once everyone is seated, a light shines on Cruella and begins to tell her story. The audio soon trails off and causes a blackout. Fairy Godmother comes on the PA system saying that it was just a blackout and that there is no need to worry. The power comes back on, and in the place of the statues are the villains themselves. They roam, and discuss with each other, making fun of Cast Members and some audience members. The show features two songs, an original, and a song from the movie with new lyrics. "The Curse of the Isle of the Lost" is an original ballad sung by the villains as to how they possessed the statues, and what they live through on the Isle of the Lost. The second song, "Evil like Us" is based on the song "Evil Like Me" but reworked to be geared towards the audience. After that song, the lights go out once again, followed by another announcement by a frustrated Fairy God Mother. The power returns to find statues back in the place of the villains, as you are escorted out. This show only needs 8 ops CMs to run, and four performers. The villains will match the movie versions, not the classics. Note* If this attraction exceeds capacity expectations, the line will be rerouted to Auradon Courtyard to add queueing.

Descendants: Quest for the Wand is a scavenger hunt, that has guests searching for amulets with numbers throughout the park. The numbers will eventually spell out a code that can be entered at a special location to create a showcase of special effects, which vary. The wand will be located in Auradon Courtyard and will create sound effects, or cause things to morph.

Auradon Courtyard is the place to go for all things Descendants. Taking place where Darth's Mall was at Star Wars Weekends 2015, this Mini Land features light theming based on Auradon, and two main areas.
Treasures of Auradon, is the all new store that features all things Descendants. Located where Watto's Grotto and Wandering Oaken's were, this spellbinding shop gives large ranges of merchandise for Descendants.
Auradon Royal Hall is the place to meet Mal, Evie, Jay, Carlos, or Prince Ben. Two random characters will be available to meet at any time. This is in the old Prop Warehouse and will have light theming.

Set It Off– A Descendants Fireworks Spectacular is the new nightly nighttime spectacular at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Thai show begins as Ben, The Fairy GodMother and Mal take to the stage. Fairy Godmother talks of Ben's coronation, and how tonight is meant to celebrate it. She says that this is in tribute to the Royal family of Auradon, as well as all of the families and with a flick of her wand, starts the show. A medley of Beauty and the Beast songs, including the jazzed up version of Be Our Guest used in Descendants, plays to extravagant fireworks, followed by a rendition of classic princess songs. The medley soon ends to large applause, when two Mischief Makers grab the wand. Fairy Godmother shrieks and says, "What have you done?" To a burst of fireworks, Maleficent appears, claiming that she would like to give a tribute as well, but to the villains. A villain melody breaks out, even featuring a bit of "Rotten to the Core" and "Evil Like Me". Mal banishes Maleficent with the work of her own magic, to which the fairy godmother calls for a celebration. "Set it Off" is played to the ultimate grand finale as large bursts of color fill the sky.

Summer of Descendants is sure to please all visitors to Disney's Hollywood Studios, and bring a new set of entertainment offerings.

Daytime Attractions

Screen Shot 2016-09-29 at 6.31.05 PM.png

Watch as Hiro’s three friends present their inventions from the movie and explain some of the (fictional) science behind their projects. Then Hiro will present a finished product of Tadashi’s Invention, Baymax 3.0. A presentation similar to Turtle Talk with Crush (but featuring Baymax and Hero) will follow this five-minute introduction. This is located in the ABC Sound Studio. (Approximately 15 minutes)

Screen Shot 2016-09-29 at 6.35.55 PM.png

Watch as Star Lord takes a day off from his responsibilities as a Guardian to go on a cruise. While we fly Star Lord’s (style of music) will play in the background. There will be flyovers of planets, amazing space views, and even one space battle (just to bring a little excitement to the attraction). There is very little dialogue, as the show makes you focus on the sights and music. The show takes place in the theater near Rockin RollerCoaster (A Movie Screen will be installed).

This live action show blocks out a small area of the Streets of America. In this show, the Incredibles and Frozone take on goons and ultimately battle a new supervillain, Kronos, who can control time. The concept for Kronos is loosely derived from the Marvel character, but he is given a completely new look (similar to Doctor Strange’s look in a way). There will be multiple actors on each role so that feats like super-speed and time travel could be achieved. This show would occur twice every day.

The Battle for the Studios

This game, inspired by interactive experiences like MagiQuest and the Sorcerer's Apprentice, would have guests battle villains (currently lead by a triumvirate of Maleficent, Syndrome, and Thanos) using Disney and Marvel heroes (During the 2016 party Lucasfilm properties would be added). The mechanics of the game will be explained below.

Each character card counts for one level and more experience/levels can be earned by using characters in battles.

There are silver cards (worth .5 levels), gold cards (worth 3 levels), and platinum cards (worth 10 levels). Each card has a bar-code-like strip, so it can be scanned using your smartphone onto your account.

The starter pack is thirty dollars and includes you ID Card, 5 Silver Mr. Incredible Cards, 4 Silver Star-Lord Cards, 4 Silver Hero Cards, and 1 Gold Card (any one of the 3).

Packs are sold randomly in packs of: 5 cards for 4 dollars, 20 cards for 12 dollars, 50 cards for 25 dollars (and two gold cards guaranteed), and 100 cards for 45 dollars (1 gold and 1 platinum guaranteed).

2016 Card Releases:

Elsa, Anna Kristoff, and Olaf from Frozen

Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Dash, Violet, and Frozone from the Incredibles

Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, and Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy

Hiro, Baymax, Wasabi, GoGo, and Honey from Big Hero 6

Woody, Buzz, Mr. Potato Head, Rex, Jessie, and Ham from Toy Story

Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust from Inside Out

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy, Chip, and Dale from the House of Mouse

The game would utilize smartphones, and would have guests scan QR-like codes throughout the park to then watch short movies and battle in Mortal Kombat style games. The game would have three unique storylines, recreated every year.

Mickey as Mr. Incredible, Donald as Hiro, Minnie as Gamora platinum cards would be available for completing one of the three summer quest lines. Also by completing the three quest lines, a battle utilizing the three characters would be unlocked. (These alterations versus Pete as Baymax)

At home, guests can also purchase cards (at local stores) and play in a battle simulator (without most elements of the story).

Nighttime Celebration
Starting at around 7 pm, the first part of a two-part celebration would occur. Join heroes like Rocket, Groot, Hiro, Baymax, Go-Go, Fred, Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Violet, and Dash in an epic dance party with DJ Star-Lord. Following the dance party will be a fireworks show entitled Celebration of Victory.

Meet and Greet
incredibles.jpg

In the Streets of America, one can now meet the entire Incredibles family and Frozone.

@TheOriginalTiki presents...
The Big Night: A Tribute to the Movie Premieres of the Golden Age of Hollywood

This was a very easy project to pick the theme, and a very hard one to actually execute. Ever since I first played SYWTBAI in season eight entertainment based offerings have not been my strong suit, but I'm going to give it my best shot!

The Big Night is a brand new night time event at Disney's Hollywood Studios that will put guests in the shoes of famous celebrities arriving at a movie premiere. This will include all the glamour and glitz that comes along with this including photo ops with the stars, a lavish after-party, and more! Join me as I take you into the ultimate tribute to classic Hollywood!

Here Come the Stars: A Night Time Parade

3e79e194ead9fd5525ec8ec0ac400717.jpg

Similar to the theme of "Disney Stars in Motor Cars" but taking that concept to the historic roots, "Here Come the Stars" will be a brand new night time parade tied to the "Big Night" event which serves as a kick-off to the nightly festivities. During the parade, a who's who ensemble of classic Hollywood celebrities will arrive in cars themed to their iconic characters...

Examples include...

-Judy Garland in a gold-plated car themed to the Yellow Brick Road, with the Scarecrow, Lion, and Tin Man riding with her.

-Charlie Chaplin as a tramp who arrives on a portable old fashioned box car.

-Alfred Hitchcock in a vehicle that slightly resembles a funeral Hearst.

-Marilyn Monroe riding in a classic lipstick red hot rod.

These are just some of the examples of the iconic stars you'll catch a glimpse of when you get a seat on the curb for "Here Come the Stars!".

The Comedy Cavalcade! More Laughs Than You Can Handle
:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Are you ready to laugh?!?! This day time show presented in the newly constructed Sunset Showcase theater will bring together a glorious array of comedy legends for a variety of different sketches. Goofy acts are our host...being arguably Disney's biggest icon of the pure "comedy" genre in his own right.

Act One: Modern Times

Annex%20-%20Chaplin,%20Charlie%20(Modern%20Times)_01.jpg

In this opening act, we see a completely silent rendition of two classic Chaplin bits...The tramp getting caught in the giant machinary which will be a practical on-stage prop, and a recreation of this gem...

Act Two: The Three Stooges

Of course this trio had to make an appearance somewhere! The Stooges begin their bit in a pie making factory with the gang as a group of lowly workers. Moe begins a scheme to steal the pies for themselves and sell them. Curly has been frantically eating pies the whole time which leads to a slapping routine. Of course, the scene ends with a pie fight.

Act Three: Goofy's How To Be a Stand Up Comedian

In this bit, we get a taste of the classic Goofy "How To" shorts with the dry narrator sarcastically guiding Goofy through the perils of stand-up comedy as Goofy fails miserably.

Act Four: Abbot and Costello at Bat
I'm just going to let this one speak for itself. Who doesn't want to see a recreation of this on the stage? Arguably the single greatest piece of comedy in cinematic history.

Act Five: The Muppets Present It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World!

mad-mad-world.jpg

For the final performance of the show, the Muppets come together with this classic comedy epic about a race to uncover a dead man's stash of money. The film features a who's who of comedy legends at the time who The Muppets can easily slide into their roles. This would be a great way to feature both the Muppets themselves and homages to a bunch of classic comedy stars all in one scene, and would be a great way to end the show.

There will be a revised version of the "Disney Stars In Motor Cars" parade as a day time subsitute to the larger scale "Here Come The Stars" night time parade. The twist is that all the stars will be classic Disney live action actors including...

-Fess Parker as Davey Crockett
-Kurt Russell in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
-Annette Funicello, Cubby O'Brien, and other famous Mouseketeers
-Julie Andrews and Dick Van
-Ed Wynn in a mad hatter get-up
-Verna Felton as the Queen of Hearts
-Bobby Driscoll as Peter Pan, with Hans Conroy as Captain Hook
-Leopold Stokowski conducting a Fantasia orchestra

And much, much more!

The After Party!

This will serve a dual function inside the Premier Theater. By day it will be a Meet N' Greet where there will be a rotating schedule of "celebrities" featured in the two parades and Comedy Calvacade show. By night, it will function as a classy version of a Disney dance party that's more akin to something you'd find at the Plaza Gardens in the 1950's. Big Band, Jazz, Swing, and other modern "Golden Age" music styles come alive as guests party with the stars!

f9bea5252f2f391282771f5f4150db40.jpg

And that concludes my project. I'll admit I really haven't had a ton of time to think about this one, so I hope it comes off as slightly more than me just rattling off classic celebrities of this era. The prompt definitely went outside my comfort zone so I'm glad I saw it through in spite of my busy schedule. Really looking forward to the next round and @tcool123's feedback. :)

I hate writing this but I have to permanently drop out of the competition. Life has gotten insanely busy and this has fallen to the back burner which I have felt bad about. It was great to see everyone's work and I'll continue to keep up with reading the entries. Thanks for everything!
Totally understandable :D
Hope everything okay, and I hope you can join us again soon on the boards. If not I hope you can at least follow along :D

A Twist In Time Challenge 2- @IDInstitute Presents:
View attachment 166007

The year is 2015. As we all know, around this time is when DHS is truly starting to delve into the grand park overhaul project. Roughly a year ago, the park celebrated its hit film "Frozen" (don't know if you've heard of it) in the Frozen Summer Fun event. Granted, some guests didn't quite love the execution of the party, but nonetheless, it was a success, and it has paved the way for an all new breath of life in the park!

Starting this year (2015), the park will introduce the Disney Hollywood Studios Summer Film Festivals. These will essentially be this park's version of the Food & Wine/Flower & Garden Festivals. Whatever the genre/IP is that the festival is celebrating that year will be seamlessly integrated into the park experience, unlike Frozen Summer Fun, and will provide an incredible and exciting incentive to check out the park during the next few years while it is in a transition phase with construction crews all around.

What is the first DHS Summer Film Festival, debuting later this year, that I have been working on and will present to you? Well, you probably already know the answer by reading the top of the post, but I present the Pixar Film Festival! Pixar will have a grand presence throughout the park more than ever, with celebration logo banners on lamp posts to the times guide having a little Luxo drawn on it!

Why is Pixar a perfect fit for this year? First of all, given its popularity and how well it fits into the parks, it is a guaranteed success with guests and there is a lot to work with for Imagineers. In addition, 2015 is the 20 year anniversary of Pixar, making it the perfect year to celebrate! Lastly, with Toy Story Land being announced at the end of the summer, this is a great way to build the hype. So stick around to see what this event has to offer!

Character Interaction & Themed Meet and Greets
During the festival, character interaction will be bigger than ever! Specifically, meeting Pixar characters :p. The Sounds Dangerous theater (which at this in 2016 in our previous universe will host a Chewbacca M&G) will be retrofitted to become the ultimate place to meet characters. This will be a rotating themed character center. This means that, you get to meet characters in their own themed environment, making the experience that much more magical. In addition, because these summer festivals encourage repeat visits by locals, the actual characters it will be housed by will rotate over the summer (a change that can be done overnight, with all that needs to be done is substitute in different background murals and basic show set pieces).

The schedule is as follows*:
June 17 - July 14: Inside Out** (Joy and Sadness)
July 15 - July 22: Cars (Mater and Lightning animatronics)
July 23 - August 2: A Bug's Life (Flick and Princess Atta)
August 3 - August 12: The Incredibles (Mr. and Mrs. Incredible)
August 13 - August 21: Brave (Merida)
August 22 - August 30: Up (Carl and Russell)
August 31 - September 9: Ratatouille (Linguini and a Remy puppet)

*Some popular films such as Toy Story an Monsters Inc not getting a meet might seem surprising, however at this time they both have their own M&G locations throughout the park that are permanent.
**This movie's meet is a longer period than most others because of the movie coming out and to take advantage of the #synergy.

Aside from this, characters will able to be found wandering the parks more than ever, in particular in Pixar Place. This way, the festival will feel truly alive and a celebration like no other!

Inside Out Preview
For the first month of the festival, the One Man's Dream theater will host a special sneak preview of the newest Pixar film, Inside Out, which is known to host these trailers for time to time.
MV5BOTgxMDQwMDk0OF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwNjU5OTg2NDE@._V1_UY1200_CR90,0,630,1200_AL_.jpg

However, this won't just be an average preview one can get anywhere, but will be a 10 minute loop that also includes rare behind the scenes footage of the production of the movie, making it a very interesting stop during the day for any movie fanatic. After a month of the festival, with the movie having been out for some time, the theater will revert to showing the regular movie that goes with the exhibit.

Pixar Place Enhancements & Emeryville Cafe
Before Soundstage 1 becomes home to the third TSMM track, a decision in this alternate timeline has been made to turn it into the Emeryville Cafe. This will be a great place to get breakfast/lunch in a cafe setting, themed to the Pixar campus, as well as special festival merchandise.
pixar4.jpg

It will even have the famous Cereal Bar! :D
CerealRoom.jpg

In addition, several enhancements will be made to the Pixar Place atmosphere, in addition to just meet and greets. A wandering Wall-E animatronic will be out and about, interacting with guests (PUSH-style), and the famous Luxo Jr. animatronic will return:

A Day In The Life: A Pixar Exhibit
In the new "Club Disney" building on Sunset Blvd will be this new Pixar exhibit. The video screens aligned along all of the walls will show behind the scenes footage of Pixar Studios, the making of films, and interviews with cast members. Around the building will be OMD style exhibits about the history of Pixar and some interesting "artifacts". People can get themed food from different kiosks (such as MI sushi from Harry Housins or Haggis from Brave, etc.), and throughout the season, different panelists will show up to speak from Pixar/WDAS/imagineers who worked on Pixar attractions.

Pixar Pals Take The Night!
Pixar Pals Take The Night! will be the brand new nighttime entertainment debuting during this time. It will be a nighttime parade, similar to the former Pixar Pals daytime parade, and will make use of very similar floats/remodeled sets from that show. With MSEP-esque glowing light up floats themed to the different Pixar movies, alive and dancing to the beautiful classic music meeting a contemporary tempo, this will be sure to be a party not to miss! Lastly, several Paint the Night sets will be introduced here first, including the Mac and MI floats.

maxresdefault.jpg

Movies With Magic
Movies With Magic will be an all new hard ticket, after-hours event introduced during the festival. There will be 3 different MwM events during the summer, and for roughly $75 a ticket, guests will get a magical Pixar Film experience like no other. The first event, 2 days after the start of the festival will be a showing the premier Inside Out, projected in front of the Chinese Theater, with guests sitting at specially prepared tables with snacks and all provided. Besides the experience of watching the premier inside a Disney park, what makes it special and worth the price is that the guests will include John Lasseter, Pete Doctor, Amy Poehler, Phillis Smith, and Mindy Kaling. Before the film will be a 45 minute round table discussion with these directors/cast members, talking about the movie, and answering questions from the audience. After the film, they will be meeting guests and signing special memorabilia for sale!

There will be two other events much like this one during the summer, for the films Monsters Inc (Because it is an excellent Pixar film, and seeing the cast joining on stage would be very interesting, including an older Boo), and Toy Story (due to it being the important 1st film in their 20 year anniversary, and the fact that TSL gets announced in August).

Overall, the new DHS Film Festival initiative will be a great direction for the park to go for the next few years to keep revenue up, and Pixar is the perfect theme for the first one with all there is to do! Thank you for reading!

Bing Bong and Pixar Train of Thoughts Float – Disneyland 50th Anniversary Initial Float Repainted, Re-themed and Recycled.
waltdisneysparadeofdreamsdisneyland50thanniversary.jpeg

Emotions - Ratatouille Countdown to Fun Unit Recycled
Walking Remy and Emile
Monster’s Inc Countdown to Fun Unit Recycled
Lightning McQueen and Mater
Bugs Life Unit Countdown to Fun Recycled
Traffic Cones Countdown to Fun Recycled
Toy Story Countdown to Fun Unit Recycled

Business Notes

The direction I went with for this project was several tiny little overlays, while saving the main money of the project the fireworks, parade, the Maze, and Main Stage Party.

Inside Out Summer Spectacular by Tegan pilots a chicken

Congratulations on making it on time, and for being first! :D
Now onto the review, right off the bat you impress me with the picture. Now onto your first daytime addition, Memory Theater. I love the concept, but my main concern is if it is the same technology present at Laugh Floor and Turtle Talk, why does it have a set amount of times it can play? Wouldn't it be able to play continuously like how the other two attractions run? You also never specified where the attraction was going to be placed. Now the Inside Out Memory Maker, I have mixed feelings about. I feel that it is not daytime entertainment, but would count towards photo opportunities, calling it entertainment is a bit of a stretch. Also I'm not sure replacing the ABC Soundstage with it is the best idea.
The meet and greet, well technically speaking in this timeline Disney has done nothing with the characters so you could've gotten away with hosting it in Headquarters. However I do prefer the Imaginationland setting, as there would've been no way for Bing Bong to have been in Head Quarters due to unforeseen circumstances.
Finally, we arrive to the night parade. And I give you props for showing the parade route, but it does seem altered from what it is typically is. Whether it was intentional or not I do not know. Also a note that map is from this year not last year, so its not completley accurate, but it does show us that it is 100% possible for the event to run in the smaller space. Further more, you state there will be floats, but then you say everyone will be on foot? Its rather confusing, and may disappoint some guests. However I do like the concept behind the floating lights, but I wished you'd elaborate on them more. Like for example how are they floating?
Overall this is a nice project, and I could see it happening. Although I'm not sure the parade would be called a parade. Maybe more of a procession or cavalcade.

Pixarpalooza! by spacemt354

Hey, Howdy, Hey, Space! Right off the bat you dive into the entertainment. I like that Hollywood Studios will be receiving a brand new daytime parade, especially such a great parade, but you mention some new floats, but you only mentioned the new Inside Out float. Now the Inside Out - Sneak Peak! I have mixed feelings about this. It seems your giving a third of the movie away for free. Not even the sneak peak that was Epcot gave away much info. However I do like the idea of having the directors talk, and showing off the film's artwork. Now I like the idea of Joy and Sadness being meetable, but are they the only characters along with Woody + Buzz and Mike + Sulley? That seems pretty disappointing for a Pixar centric celebration.
Now onto the inevitable Disney Dance Party. How the heck are you going to get Helmeich to dance . I'm also struggling to see how EVE would work seeing as you know she's floating. Overall I do like the diversity of characters available for guests to dance with. I think personally the orchestra show sounds spectacular, but I wonder if all the guests would enjoy as much as I would. Personally I think they might, but the kiddies might get bored. Perhaps if it was a bit shorter?
Pixar in the Stars the concept alone sounds amazing, and I think would definitely bring out the crowds, and keep them in the park. The third track for Midway Mania was a nice touch. Also great idea retheming HISTK to bug's life. However what isn't a great idea is canning Star Wars Land. Like woah :cyclops: The Cars Land copy i kind of lame, especially considering Mater's and the new Buzz are both the same ride system.

Summer of Disney's Descendants by Magic Feather

Right off the bat you impress me with your logo, and customized map. I don't believe anyone else has had such a map, but it would've been 100 times better if I could actually read the map. Everything seemed kind of blurry. Perhaps for next time you make a map, and have the key separate?
I like the concept of the Mischief Makers, but I'm not sold about them skipping the lines. That could cause a lot of anger within the lines. However the concept is balanced by what they will be doing at the Streets of America, which sounds like a lot of fun. It would add much needed kinetics to that area, and I'm sure it would get guests to actually hang out in that area. Now you mention there will be 20 will they all be perfoming like they seem to be doing on Streets of America, or just regular hijinx like taking plushes, and giving stickers? Either way I really like the concept.
I like your incorporating the Jack Sparrow building, but I question the addition of fastpass+, seeing as it is just a walkthrough is it really needed? The basic premise is nice, but I wonder do the performers switch out? Will it have showtimes, and if so isn't 180 a bit low? I wish you'd elaborated a bit more on that. Overall however I really like the concept.
The Quest for the Wand, sounds like a fun distraction for the day. Auradon Courtyard sounds like a great little addition. However I'm concerned about the meet and greets what if little Janey wants to meet Mal and only Jay and Ben are there? I think it would've worked better if you had a times guide showing when all the characters will be there. Set It Off, sounds like a great way to end the night. It tells a full story, and I can see it being very popular with guests. Overall this sounds like a strong celebration.

Supers Save Summer by kmbmw777

I'm not a huge fan of the name chosen, as it sounds more like a coupon/sales advertisement. Now onto the actual info. I'm a bit confused as why is it Baymax 3.0? Wouldn't it be Baymax 2.0? And technically Tadashi's Baymax is not even in our dimension. Also I think the characters shoiuldve been talking about realistic science as everything in the film is realistic, and I think this could've been a great way to introduce edutainment. Overall I like this attraction. The Music Fro Gaurdians of the Galaxy of the Galaxy is an odd name for the show considering its not a dance party  And I'm a bit confused would this be a screen based show, or live show? I'm assuming its on a screen. Again the experience sounds like it could be a lot of fun, but the name is rather odd and I don't think it fits well. The Incredibles show I wished you would've elaborated more as I'm struggling to see where ti would go. It sounds like it'll be outside and require a lot of space. I'm not even sure if it could fit there. Lastly the Battle for the Studios sounds like SotMK. Which already is not as popular as it once was, and as is I'm not sure if this would fare any better. The nighttime celebration sounds like a lot of fun. The most disappointing thing however is that with the plethora of available characters you only have have the Incredibles and FroZone set up for Meet and Greets.

The Big Night: A Tribute to the Movie Premieres of the Golden Age of Hollywood by TheOriginalTiki

Tiki your night parade leaves me with my head scratching, this is something that would be instantly better in the day, but is at night ue to the requirment. Furthermore, other than Garland and Monroe I'm not sure if many people would even know whom have of those people would have been. Perhaps if the cars somehow incorporated movies they were a part of it would help guests. But as I'm not sure if many guests would be thrilled about the parade.
On the flip side the comedy show, is a hoot. And I'm sure many guests will love to see it. My only concern is the length of the show because it was never explicitly stated. The day parade, you have is a complete 180 from the night parade. This is what I think would be a great thing to see. It shows off the actors, but at the same time it incorporates the Disney spirit. To cap it off The After Party! I personally think that this is a nice classy addition to the park.

Pixar Mixar by AdventurerEllie

I like how you incorporated social media, but sadly the image provided does not work. I like the short film festival idea, and I feel you vastly improved on the concept. However I don't think it should be encouraged to use your electronic device while your in the theater. Furthermore I think it would've been even better if you incorporated this into MyDisneyExperience as it would be more convenient for all guests. It would've been great if you had an updated map, but sadly you did not. Either way its great to include a map showing the parade route. I wished you would have better explained your floats as they are very vague topics specifically the Incredibles float.
I love the idea you have for the firework show, but that scene from Up is not happy :cry::cry:. The general premise around is top notch, and I'm sure it will earn plenty of fans. The Meet and Greets you have set up are kind of disappointing. It would seem that it would just be better to spread the characters throughout the park. I also think it'll be odd hosting meet and greets for the characters of Fining Nemo and Kevin. Overall this was a really strong proposal.

Disney Hollywood Studios Summer Film Festivals by IDInstitute

To start I'm not sure about this. What if one year Pixar is the theme, and the next year it isn't and thousands are disappointed. I think it should've stayed as the Pixar Film Festival yearly or something similar. I also don't think second meet and greet with the stars of Cars would be wise (the Cars meet and greet was still open at that time). And like the other meet and greet complaints, I think it would've been better to have the characters there for the event in several different locations. That would help spread out the crowds a bit more.
I also like how you have an Inside Out preview, but afterwards I feel you should've kept something Pixar related in the theater as it may lead to some people being disappointed.
I like how you continued the living character initiative. I have mixed feelings about Emeryville and the Cereal Bar, but considering the current dining options I think it would be a welcome temporary addition. I can see A Day in The Life being a very popular addition as it sounds like a mini Food and Wine Festival, but indoors. I love the idea of PtN floats plus new floats debuting here.
Now there's the hard ticketed event. I'm against the idea of projecting it on Chinese Theater wouldn't be clear due to the details on the theater. Plus summer is very hot and humid. I think it'll sell well, but it would be great if the event was indoors.

Pixar Bizzare by MonorailRed

What an odd name Red :p The dancy party is nice, and I like that you took the time to explain how Kevin and Stick would work. The Remy Character Dining, Sci-Fi turning into Flo's, Super Mulch, Sweat, and Shears, and the Inside Out Meet & Greet was a nice touch. I wished you went into more detail about the Toy Story things. The parade is kind of sad. It's a recycled Countdown to Fun Parade, but you cut the Up, Incredibles, and Rat Floats. To balance it out you added two repurposed floats. Also what would happen to the candy corn in Not So Scary? Since those are the repurposed cones. At the end you mentioned a maze...what maze? :cyclops:

Just fwiw, to make it clearer I meant in front of the Chinese theater as in on a projection screen they can set up for the night :D :p

Challenge 3 - The Art of the Resorts
A Singular Elimination Challenge

2241284-Disneys-Art-of-Animation-Resort-Hotel-Exterior-1-RTS.jpg

In 2012 a new value resort at Walt Disney World opened in our time line it was the Art of Animation Resort, but in this timeline that resort never happened . Your challenge is to build a new Value either retaining the current theme or a completely new theme. Just keep in mind the resort began construction in 2010 so any IPs used must have existed beforehand, that is if your using IPs. The only requirements are keeping the location, the layout for the Mermaid wing, and types of rooms currently present at Art of Animation. You may use as many pictures as wanted, and as many sentences as needed. You may also use a website if you wish.

Due by Thursday, October 13 at 11:59 PM.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask! :D
I will answer them (weather depending, electricity flickering off/on more now)

When in 2010 is the IP cut off? And also what role does realism (theme wise) play in ranking?

The cutoff is anything from Tangled and prior.

The role will be medium, if the theming is on par with the moderates or deluxe it would go against you. Along with the ammentites if you have like a two sit downs, a fine dining, and 3 quicks then yeah thats also not a value.

So, can we expand onto parking lots and other areas, or must we stay in the current grassy boundary? Also, would an unrealistic theme, like The Slums of Brasil, have points deducted for or not. PS I am not considering the slums of Brasil, it is just an example.
