That cements it for me. We need a Sleepy Hollow expansion of Liberty Square.[/QUOT

A local colonial village near us is doing a Sleepy Hollow experience this year. It's like an interactive play where you get to go sing in the schoolhouse, drink in the tavern, and walk the village at night. And of course see the headless horseman. I teach Am. Lit. and always do Irving stories..so I am definately geeking out. It would definately be a classy fit for Liberty Square.. But it also seems like something that long ago Disney might have done..because it's thematically appropriate and unique..but today's Disney I doubt it

I've been to Disney Springs multiple times this summer on weekdays and weekends and each time it's been pretty crowded. All of the restaurants were crowded especially Boathouse. I've never seen that restaurant not have a crowd. We usually eat at Splitsville and normally all of the lanes are full and the restaurant portion typically at least 50% full. The stores have been doing well from what I've seen except for Johnston & Murphy and Kate Spade. There's hardy anyone ever in those stores when I walk by. Zara, Uni-qlo, and Under Armour appear to be the strongest tenants

DTD has never lacked crowds, even a few years ago when the West Side/PI areas were 60% empty.

The only "draw back" I could see is that would put 2 "scary" attractions in Liberty Square, where the theme is supposed to be Colonial America, not Scary America. That said, as a HUGE Irving fan, I could overlook that fact and would be ALL UP IN a Sleepy Hollow ride/attraction/show/anything. I have had so many ideas for Sleepy Hollow rides thatbthis would be a dream come true.

Yep for some reason everyone keeps comparing Disney Springs to the outlet malls, but the prices mean they are going after Millenia more. The outlet malls are a different thing.

I agree dining is heavily overbuilt and entertainment is underbuilt, too much focus on music and guitars. Nothing offering comedy and there aren't even many bars that are just bars (other than Hanger Bar). Everything that made Pleasure Island interesting hasn't been done this time.

i dont think disney wants the PI crowd back.

Hmm... I wonder if that post was updated to remove the info about Disney Interactive?

Interactive was sending out press releases on Friday. Granted perhaps those were set up in advance to go out that day. I haven't heard anything within the games industry about Interactive completely closing, though. Pretty sure this was the actual last week for whoever was still left at Avalanche in Salt Lake City.

Damn right I did!

in a perfect world a unified population makes sense....the roman empire thought so....the collective states and provinces of countrys...than the european union the largest scale experiment in such....but one cannot be blind to the individual rights, opinions and libertys that MUST be abandonded to achieve perfection...and i for one dont wish to live in a perfect world.

When I rode SM last year, I remember hearing music but it was mostly very quiet and hard to lesson to. It might had been this one If I remember correctly despite hearing it for a split second.

Disney attached a few speakers to the track during the last refurbishment in a half-a$$ attempt to have onboard audio like the CA version but of course it just doesn't work and you can barely here it. A shame too because that music is not bad at all and fits Florida's version.

The FL Space Mountain needs to shut down for two years for a complete gutting and rebuild like CA got. Anything less is unacceptable.

Until that happens, I certainly won't ride on it again. I got an awful crick in my neck after riding it last time. And the ride experience wasn't worth it. The queue is kind of cornball, too. But Space Mountain is still an awesome idea, and its exterior design is still beautiful. I hope it gets the update it deserves, and by "update" I DON'T mean smearing Star Wars all over it. If TDO wants a Star Wars dark ride, it should build a freaking new one for crying out loud.

I agree, I like the music but since it's mostly drowned out by the speed of your ride vehicle and it very quiet. It causes the attraction to feel very empty, quiet and lifeless besides hearing your ride vehicle going in fast speed and some riders making noise. After seeing the CA version of SM where they had lights creating an illusion that you were in space. The WDW version while they do have them it still felt pitch black most of the time sometimes I can't even tell if most of the stars are on or not.
