Welcome to 2015 at a non-McDonalds-like global chain. That sounds normal to me (unfortunately many would say). Getting rice and greens with it probably is actually cheaper than I would pay across the road for all of that.

It's Tex-Mex, not fine cuisine, not even steak or seafood. Two tiny (think the size you can buy in an Ortega kit at a supermarket) shells, a small scoop of rice and a few spoonfuls of greens.

I've been to some great, and authentic Mexican places out west, and they would give three times the food for that price. Oh, and it would be much better as well.

Tomorrowland Terrace isn't just the worst restaurant at Tokyo Disneyland, it might be the worst Disney restaurant, period. I got suckered in by those cute Mickey shaped burgers and immediately regretted the decision. I won't miss it at all.

EDIT: I realize I quoted irrelevant posts, but I can't find where I was actually tagged...

Sorry, I left a letter out when tagging you. I fixed that (but will likely take heat for going back and editing my posts ... my BRAND is on the line, Tom!)

I think I agree with you. I'm hardpressed to think of a worse meal I've had at any Disney QSR around the globe. I think a turkey (allegedly) sandwich I had at Cosmic Ray's (what used to be the MK's TT) a few years ago would be a close second. And any meal at the ABC Commissary over the years would be up there. But nothing nearly as bad. And every other meal I've ever had at TDR has been either good, very good or great.

I do think I warned you about eating there before your first visit!

There is a recent thread on micechat elaborating on the Mouse's role as a landlord. They supposedly own a lot of property in the resort district that is currently leased out to other businesses (including hotels)... and not just property we're waiting for the new parking lots to pop up on.

http://micechat.com/forums/disneyla...ey-actually-own-around-disneyland-resort.html

It gets a little more interesting at the end.. where some legit lawyers like Steamboatpete chime in with their hands on experience in the matter.

Thanks. I looked at most of it. ... I tend to think much of that is correct. I can very easily believe Disney is a slum lord in Anaheim and are waiting to see what happens with the transit hub and other political moves before doing anything publicly.

I also have the feeling this sale was leaked purposely by someone not happy with Disney, but I could be wrong ... but I don't think so.

Summer 2017. Holding off until the much needed rebuild is done. Though I know the resorts project won't be done until 2021. Imagine that. An eleven year resort rebuilding project. On top of a four year park rebuild.

Yes, DLP work moves slower than WDW. But at least it is finally being done.
I doubt I'll go this year when I am in Germany, but you are much closer (perhaps, addicted to WDW?) :-)
Will definitely visit next year if I don't drop in this year.

I didn't think too highly of Avengers 2. It was entertaining, but there is fat too much bloat and waste held together very loosely by storylines that tend to be half-baked. Like the first film, and very much Guardians of the Galaxy, the best moments are the smaller character moments. The spectacle and awe doesn't have nearly the same effect this time around.

A friend who has similar taste to me, but is an actual Marvel fanboi, said he liked it, but not nearly as much as the first one or GotG. Said there was way too much ''filler'' in there to set up the next 31 films (my slight exaggeration). I'll see it, but only because Spader's voice is in it! Much more looking forward to Tomorrowland and Inside Out.

Rule #1: If lifestylers are wetting themselves over something, you can guarantee it is overpriced and overrated. I have been to the Rocco's here twice. I won't be returning unless friends or visiting family are set on it. My go to Mexican restaurant, just north of Universal on Kirkman (Kirkman and Conroy), is Agave Azul. It is a nice and inexpensive contemporary in style, traditional in taste Mexican Restaurant. Great Guac, 8 bucks.

I have to be at the Contemporary at 9:30 to interview some imagineers. I'll tell them you said hi! :)

So, who was there for the dog, pony and Lifestyler show?

Yeah, it was good, but any major hype it had going for it came out of the sails when they showed off the entire Phase 3 lineup, so the flaws are much easier to pick out. And yeah, there's a really spot-on analogy out there of Avengers 2 just being the "Iron Man 2" of Avengers movies.

Just curious on the indignation with giving resort guests more. Uni gives their resort guests an Express Pass which gives the guest a FP to nearly every attraction and costs everyone else a bunch of money, but Disney shouldn't give 1 extra FP reservation to resort guests because its unfair to day guests or offsite guests?

It's all a slippery slope, Katie.

Disney has taken away so much and upcharges for so much that fans who only became so in the last 10-15 years have no idea what they missed and why people like myself are angry at each one of these moves.

Can you believe there was a time when you could walk-up to a full serve restaurant and, if you were willing to wait, you'd be served? Can you believe there was a time when you could see the Christmas parade and entertainment without waiting until 3-4 days before Christmas or being extorted for a hard ticket party? Can you believe there was a time when all of the parks stayed open late completely and for all Guests? Can you believe there was a time when restaurants had napkins that were unique to that location and they gave chocolates out at the end of the meal?

I can go on, but the apologists like the current WDW and the direction it is headed. Many folks like myself don't. And if our battles win, things get better for everyone. If the Walmarting continues, then we all get screwed, even those of us who are smart enough to realize it.

What kind of hoops do you have to jump through to be considered holy enough to be a "brand advocate"? I hate the lifestylers but when I see Ricky getting free stays at the bungalows and I see my family (who have had annual passes since they came into existence in 1982) getting nothing except charged more, it makes me think I'll play the game.

Email Dr. Blondie or her cohort Bland Tommy Thomas.Smith@Disney.com and ask. They love, love, love engaging the fan community.

And did Brigante really get a bungalow? I didn't think Disney was giving any of those out to Lifestylers ...

But why do most people watch Walenda? They are watching to see him fall. However, he is very good at what he does which leaves people disappointed.

After watching a couple of his walks, watching paint dry is more entertaining

I don't think they watch hoping he'd fall (At least I don't) because if he did fall, he'd die instantly.

I think we know he won't fall, but also know the risk he's taking. And we live vicariously through it.

The riskiest thing I've ever done was a slide down Summit Plummet. And children do that every day LOL.

I actually liked this one more, but the fight scenes seemed to go on and on and on.....

Also, i didnt have a Star Wars trailer.

There were a number of new characters introduced in this film, and it still didn't include any of the crew from Guardians of the Galaxy. Add into play Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, The Inhumans......how do the final two parter Avengers films not become an absolute behemoth with mammoth bloat?

Yeah, it was good, but any major hype it had going for it came out of the sails when they showed off the entire Phase 3 lineup, so the flaws are much easier to pick out. And yeah, there's a really spot-on analogy out there of Avengers 2 just being the "Iron Man 2" of Avengers movies.

Avengers 2 is an enjoyable and well done film, to be certain, but there is arguably too much going on - period. Way too many sub plots and developments which aren't adequately explored, reliance on prerequisite knowledge of the Marvel Universe (Winter Soldier, Agent Carter, etc.), and action scenes often too fast paced.
