20 million at MK? 56K people visit per day? I find that very hard to believe for a park that keeps lifting blockout dates and rarely ever hits capacity closing levels.
If you read these forums as much as you claim, you'd also note that on the shareholders' conference call a few weeks ago, Iger had to acknowledge a decrease in attendance at WDW for 2016Q2.Looks like Disney is doing ok.

Yet the Domestic Disney parks are run by people who don't know the difference between an attraction and a meet and greet
maybe...but keep in mind these are 2015 numbers...
My understanding was that was for the current year, and these numbers are for 2015 no?If you read these forums as much as you claim, you'd also note that on the shareholders' conference call a few weeks ago, Iger had to acknowledge a decrease in attendance at WDW for 2016Q2.
Correct. That's why I was giving a counter point to your assertion that it looked as though Disney was doing just fine. Yes, in 2015, attendance reportedly increased, but we know it has decreased this year. I am thus taking the position that they are not doing just fine, and need to step up with corrective measures. My understanding was that was for the current year, and these numbers are for 2015 no?
No worries man, its a message board the whole point is to have contradicting point of views and have discussions about it. I agree that Disney needs to step it up in the next couple of years and give the parks some much needed love.Correct. I think I've done pretty well, but I want to make it perfectly clear I am not trying to be sparky or attack you personally, I'm simply expressing a different point of view.
They include the Halloween and Christmas hard ticket events in that figure.20 million at MK? 56K people visit per day? I find that very hard to believe for a park that keeps lifting blockout dates and rarely ever hits capacity closing levels.

Speaking of which, Hong Kong's Ocean Park still has a half million plus guests on HKDL even as both parks saw YoY declines from 2014.Did you follow any of the competition talk with regard to HKDL? This is more of the same...The locals don't think Disney was targeting the demos correctly and think 'their' product is more in tune with the locals.
I find it very easy to believe with the amount of people in line.... Plus capacity is somewhere around 90k after the fantasyland expansion.
I know OLC gives out a combined attendance number between the two parks but not a number for each park individually. Their 2015 combined number was down from their 2014 combined number.90K? That would put TDL's capacity at 100K+ since it's a bigger park with more attractions, and it closes for capacity on a regular basis. And yet TEA is only reporting a 13 mil figure for that park.
Sorry, something is way off here, just like every year.

Interesting that Sea World was up a tick. I know it had been declining. I wonder if this is the "last time we'll see Shamu" effect?Speaking of which, Hong Kong's Ocean Park still has a half million plus guests on HKDL even as both parks saw YoY declines from 2014.

Big difference everything with you is how universal is so much better then Disney, but all the numbers show otherwise.
That's the last I was told. But one thing I've found with Comcast is there's so much coming that projects keep getting bumped down the list in favour of others.
And the numerous cuts and price hikes across the board? All the numbers show is that WDW gets more customers. WDW's well deserved reputation has been engrained in our society because of the amazing product they offered from the 70's through the 90's and in some cases a little beyond that with things like Expedition Everest. Since about the mid 2000's WDW has been mostly resting on the laurels of its past and is just now investing where it's needed. Everything happening at Animal Kingdom is a step in the right direction and Star Wars Land I'm sure will be amazing but additions like these have been needed for a very long time now at those parks.Big difference everything with you is how universal is so much better then Disney, but all the numbers show otherwise.
