Hey what's up sour grapes! Not sure what WDW ever did to you but you sure do come across as a bitter ex-employee.

No, Disney has never employed me. I am too good for them.

Please stop stating your opinion as fact or as if you are the last word on anything.

Um ... ahm ... ah ... no.

Just a couple of points on your pointless rant that most of the sheep tend to eat up around hear.
First, STK is a restaurant that I believe originated in the meat packing district of New York and it's extremely overrated. Not considered a top notch steak house, which is a fact. I knew it was a money grab when they tried to launch it in Disney. It is failing down there cause it is wildly expensive and it's just a good restaurant but not great.

Honestly man stop coming to the website if you are going to aimlessly and baselessly tear things down. I.e... Finding Dory.
Finding Dory was a fantastic flick,,,and most people really enjoyed it... But you didn't so you state that it was very average... Why? Cause your opinion is so important? Bit of a self important narcissist are you?

Oh, I have great aim when I take shots. And I never launch baseless anything. ... Dory is simply an opinion. It was missing all the adventure and heart of the original and bashed you over the head that special needs fish (really humans) can do anything just like regular fish. That isn't reality and it bothered me. I say that as I sit with the insufferable new ABC comedy Speechless on as background noise.

A self-important narcissist?!?! Wait, do I know you? Mom is that you??!!?

Also, your other opinions are also way off base but I really don't feel like spending any more time on some one who clearly has an anti Disney agenda.

Lastly take your Karl Rovian tactics and stay off of this site.
Please stay in universal where the grass is greener of course!

Nah, I like it here. I even like most of the posters, even folks I don't always agree with. ... And UNI has plenty of problems as well. I think soon I might start writing about their Beijing Disaster to see if their folks are reading too!

Fair enough. And I think Disney needs to step up their game no doubt. For example, last year when we had an issue after returning from MVMCP, I was told I couldn't speak to the night manager at the Poly because there was no night manager. I literally had to call the WDW Guest Relations line at 1AM to find out I was being lied to. She explained that the night manager handled multiple hotels, but would have him brought over from the Yacht Club immediately if I wanted. At that point we just wanted Togo to bed and had to fight with the desk manager the next morning to have the issue corrected. I shouldn't have to do that paying $300+ a night. I expect good customer service and you just don't get it at Disney hotels anymore.

Each hotel has their own manager now after the January reorg (as I understand it), so hopefully those kinds of problems are being fixed.

That's good to know. What I was told at 1:00AM that morning thanks to 1-407-W-Disney (isnt is sad I had to call a phone number to get an answer about the hotel in which I was literally standing because the cast members were ignorant/unhelpful?) was that each hotel had its own day manager but the night managers worked two hotels (at the deluxe level) so they weren't always at their assigned hotels. Also, I was informed the next morning that the General Manager does not home base at the hotel so asking for the GM is a waste of time as they don't really work in/for the hotel. This is what the manager on duty told me when I asked if I could talk to her boss.

Also can you elaborate on how they reorganized?

You seem to know me so well. All from someone with six posts. So what is your other id here? Do you work with Dr. Blondie? Are you simply a front-line minimum wage CM who has to believe in the MAGIC so you don't stick a gun in your mouth? Just curious since I haven't played with a troll in ages.

I bet you do! No one ever does a one-post shot and leaves, although the world would be a better place if they did ... or just choked on some Halloween candy they got at MNSSHP!

Do tell. What kind of train wreck is happening in Beijing?

I only know that the hotels were given their own manager (instead of one running 2-3) and that the park 'lands' were given their own boss. Info I've seen is pretty vague, I haven't searched this site; it was implemented around January 21, 2016 if I remember correctly.

Except for Duffy Mania, crappy merchandise that makes ours look great, tiny food portions and ... turning the Disney Gallery into another Jon Benet Boutique, I agree wholeheartedly!
Then again that might have to do with culture differences since the reason about Duffy Mania might have to do with the Japanese's obsession with cuteness which had been part of Japanese culture for decades now. About the merchandise well it's Japan and Disney is insanely popular over there. Japan has different tastes compared to American Disney fans.

A good friend is visiting SDL as I type this (and was at TDR and UNI-Osaka last week ... he is true fanboi royalty having visited every Disney and UNI park in the world, unlike anyone else I know either in the fan community or in the business -- really!) and lots of interesting anecdotes. Going to see if he is willing to pop in here when back stateside next month, but he seems quite high on the Disney product in both places (he, like me, has been to TDR before ... but UNI and SDL are new to him). The one thing he loved, which I believe @WDWFigment loved as well has been those Adventure Trails. And he agrees with the consensus feeling in the business that Pirates is now the world's top attractions (above MM in HKDL and FJ at three UNI resorts). RR has been one of his big disappointments. Gee, a raft ride with minimal theming with a blink-and-you-miss-it view of a large AA. What could possibly go wrong?

I'm not sure if I'm proud or ashamed that I've done the same thing now. USH was the last one just before SDL. In my pseudo defence, USH wasn't even my idea.

I agree with all three other statements. Adventure Trail was a real breakout surprise. RR is largely Grizzly River Run, without proper foliage, plus an impressive AA.

Don't be so shallow and pedantic. There was once a good balance. Obviously no one is saying Disney should charge $60 night for a resort room. But when you consider the high cost of a park ticket (especially park hopper) plus high priced food, and then throw in an extremely overpriced resort room Thays ready 30% off but still $300 per night, you find yourself feeling choked with the cost and just want some type of a break.

IMO the value resorts should peak at $120 and sub $100 the rest of the time.
Unless we get a very, very good Florida resident or AP deal I don't think we'll ever stay on property again. The hotels around DS offer a lot more for much less. And I don't need the busses as driving our own car is much more convenient for us. (Also just IMO)

Thinking outside the box is harder.
Been coming here since the 90's!

Have changed usernames a few times due to lost emails, closed email accounts.
Ouch!!! Dullard!!!

You last lost your email in December of 2015? In today's world of multiple backup and retrieval methods that's dubious at best. But, I'm in a good mood so I'll bite.

But really? Nothing good in five years? He broke the ToT story and has provided solid info on the reorganization of WDI and other TWDC entities. As I stated before, math is hard. Arguing facts is even more complicated. Just because you don't like his methods, attitude, or views on the company doesn't mean you get to dismiss his information as incorrect.

Along with everyone and there mother. It was broke literally a couple of weeks before Disney announced it. what a talented lad!!!

I remember back when the reimagined fantasy land caught everyone with there pants down. Especially him. He was refuting it to the bitter end.
He gets defended here for no reason.

If it caught EVERYONE with their pants down, then refuting it is understandable especially if it was a well guarded secret with sources not knowing or not willing to divulge info. Everyone misses. If you dislike his posts so much, hit ignore or don't read them. Some of us find them highly informative.

He broke the entire SDL lineup. Attraction by attraction, shop by shop, even the non-attractions that Disney calls attractions were all on the list and opened with the names he broke.

Well over a year before Disney said anything. No one was talking about that, even the usual suspects who lift info didn't bother claiming it as their own.

That's less than 3 years ago. I'm sure we can keep naming things if you want. I don't always agree with him, in fact we disagree on some contentious issues, but I really find people obnoxious who have literally nothing to add to a conversation outside of negativity and self promotion.

Yes, everyone and their mother reported immediately after @WDW1974 brought it to light.
I've been plenty critical of his posting style in the past, but his information is rock solid. Have fun trying to prove otherwise.

Has that even been confirmed / announced?

The DCA version - yes.

The WDW version - well documented that it was on and then off the table. Then on again and off again. Then green lit and stopped (some say by George K. himself as they can't afford reduced captivity in DHS right now) so he was on the money here too with multiple confirmations from other respected insiders.
