Thank you for posting that, it was a nice way to have my morning coffee out here in California. I like how George mentioned he started as a busboy in '71, that gives him some heart.

But the rest of that canned, overly corporate ceremony? Yikes. And I had to turn down the sound when that male Ambassador spoke.

It never made sense to me that a store (not in a theme park) would not be able to use the name "Marvel". My guess is that there was discussions and this issue was "clarified" rather than Disney bought the rights or such. We know there has been some sort of talks between the companies and they probably cleared up some areas of dispute.

I think you've nailed it. Something has certainly been cleared up behind closed doors. Whether that involved money or not.

There still remains a very strong belief amongst some of the Uni group that the GoTG rumour is an impossibility. I never thought @marni1971 et. al were in the business of making things up, just to stir the pot.

Anybody care to guess what this'll be? I'm thinking this is most likely a SEA show considering how much that concept has spread and with the Agent Carter people in charge, could be a way of developing Mary Oceaneer from the new Typhoon Lagoon ride.

Hard to believe its been 5 years since the 40th. Partially because it just doesn't feel like that many years have passed, but also because the 45th anniversary "celebrations" are nearly identical sans replacing Meg Crofton with George K. Its the same bush league celebration on the castle stage. I know the 45th isn't a real milestone so this a small ceremony like this is nice and serviceable, but it's been way too long since we've seen any real anniversary treatment.

Not since the 25th has WDW did a real anniversary that was worth it.

One data center I worked on had 3 5 Megawatt Diesel generators, The data center could run on 2 but the third was to allow for unanticipated breakdowns and yes the data center had TWO 5 Megawatt connections to the power grid which shared NO common points of failure.

The largest data center east of the Rockies is going up just a few miles from my house.

Feeding time ... Food is a powerful lure even for CATS and if you look carefully especially at EPCOT near SSE you are likely to see a few stragglers during a long visit.

Sorry I don't buy it. First I did read the contract, not sure who linked it for me but thanks. It clearly calls out they can't use Marvel to market in the radius of Uni. Granted part does say in a theme park, still.
Then we get rumors of Marvel in CA - which clearly can be done
Then we get hard rumor confirmation from Marni that GoTG is going to Epcot
Then we get rumor of more Disney negotiations...
And now we have a clear Marvel sign in Disney Springs, and posters of Dr. Strange with the Marvel logo in DHS.

Something has changed, not sure why or how much, but something clearly has changed. Be it negotiation or not, this to me shows a major swerve.

weird part is.. I've seen more rabbits than cats in my trips. and ducks, lots of ducks and squirrels.

EPCOT and some hotels = Rabbits
MK = Ducks
AK = Squirrels

I Always see lots of Rabbits at EPCOT and the hotels, I've only seen 1-2 cats during daytime more at night but they are VERY shy

I'm guessing that the 'cheap' lithium polymer battery experienced a catastrophic failure as spitting hot gas and flames is the failure mode and the barrel of the e-cig served to direct the stream. I've got a couple large RC helicopters and the Li-Po batteries are stored in the garden for this very reason so if the batteries fail they will destroy the waterproof box they live in rather than the house.
