A Spirited Dirty Dozen ...

You are absolutely correct I never thought about it like that, But it was designed to be FUN, not how to herd people the way a bunch of suits in a boardroom wanted them herded, MM+ is more like a MAGICal cattle prod.

I think this nails it.

Pokemon was designed to be fun, then they look at ways to monetise the players.

MyMagic took the opposite approach. Designed as a way to monetise people, then they looked at ways to make the experience fun, such as colored bands, stick on badges, interactive attractions etc.

Incidentally the company behind Pokemon Go, Niantic, has raised a total funding of just $25M. MyMagic+/NextGen was reportedly over 2 billion dollars, 100x the cost of producing Pokemon Go.

And if Disney wanted to do their own AR game with Disney characters... well who will build it? They just closed their interactive division as not being profitable enough.

If you are visiting MK next week 7/13 through 7/22 you might want to know of entertainment changes those days only. The Dance Party at the castle or MISIDAPI will only perform at 5:45 and 7:00 PM. Wishes at 9 and only one Electrical Parade at 10. FoF remains at 3:00. A MK Mgr or GEM losing money to me in my Friday poker game informed us. I never visit the swamp in the summer so don't care, but if you are visiting you may care. The reason given is because of more of the never ending Main Street repair.

Tonight in my town, a Facebook meet up for Pokemon was planned for 50-60 people. As of a few hours ago, 3500 were attending with another 7500 considering. Has MM+ seen this unplanned increase in attendance?

Haven't you been keeping up? Recently at WDW it's not about the unplanned increase in attendance, but the apparently 'planned' decrease.

If Disney made their own AR game in the hopes of getting in on the money train it could end up just like Infinity which AFAIK didn't even touch Skylanders.

Btw I'm posting this over here from the other thread.

Absolute craziness over this guy.

With all this coming out I think Universal struck another gold mine. If they haven't already they're probably drawing up possible plans for Pokemon as we speak.

Star Wars Celebration Europe kicked off today and they had a few goodies to share. First a new movie poster, which I really like.

We also got a short video of Rogue One, they are calling it the Celebration Reel. Its not a teaser but a mix of footage and shots of them shooting the film and interviews... As with all videos and websites please be aware that it dose/may contain spoilers...

Also for those who follow the Rebels Series on Disney XD a 2:30 clip of season 3 has surfaced. It starts at about the minute 40 second mark. Again SPOILER!!!

I will try and keep everyone updated as Celebration continues, however my wife and I have a Lamaze class and the baby shower tomorrow so we will see how much I am able to follow it!

EDIT: Taught myself how to use the SPOILER Tag, and safely put links for the clips in said tags.

This is crazy... This is the problem with this Country everyone has become so lazy!!! Wandering around looking for Vaporeon. REAL Pokemon Trainers, like me, take the time to raise them from Evee's!!!

Even more technically, it's always been a tiny lake (with an island).

I'm confused. Do you think there's a chance that they will leave the dams in place and discontinue the circular route of the watercraft longer than necessary? (Perhaps I'm misinterpreting your second sentence.)
Thats what I fear (the island becoming linked by land and thus losing the "island" part. )

Did you see it in 3D? They've done amazing work with the conversion, it's probably the best 3D movie I've seen, and really adds something to the experience.

There seems to be a meme in the USA that Ghostbusters is a bad movie, with many people even giving an opinion before they've seen it, but that doesn't seem to be the case overseas, where the film is set to do very well and there hasn't been much negativity towards it.

I suspect the trailers have been different in different markets, and America probably just got some bad ones that don't do the film justice. If the mediocre Pets does beat it at the box office, the USA will be the only country where it does so. Overseas everyone seems to love Ghostbusters.

I thought Star Trek Beyond looked terrible from the trailers but early reviews have been great, so I'm going in with an open mind, but it seems many in the USA have decided they won't give Ghostbusters the same benefit of the doubt, which is a shame as it's such a good film.
It seems to only happen with movies that have a "feminist agenda" (according to the trolls).
Anyone remembers how filled with hate the "mad max" movie was? all because a girl was in place and incharge of most of the movie.

Its like youtube is filled with very weak willed males who feel scared of women appearing in more primary roles.

This game is a perfect example of crowd manipulation. WDW wishes MM+ could manipulate crowds like this fad.
They probably are salivating ways to make a similar game with the magicbands and using the tech they already have (Wizards of Magic Kingdom?)

Dear god.. Now I know why the reddit thread and imgur thread about pokemon tips were this popular.
Vaporeon is supposedly the strongest and most balanced of them all currently (80+ rattings on both defense and offense). I bet thats why everyone wanted one.

Is it ok if I just don't like Melissa McCarthy or Leslie Jones? If the movie is really that good I'll give it a chance on Netflix.
I cant wait to see some dude claiming they infiltrated Areas 51 ( Or Dulce Military Complex) because he finally seen a mewtwo. :hilarious::hilarious:
Nah. Deoxys is more fitting of Area 51 ;)

I thought that Leslie Jones was the best character in the movie, but the movie was beyond awful. The only laugh I had was from Dan Aykroyd's cameo. Bill Murray was so disengaged, it was pathetic. No laughs, no scares, the climax was weak with horrible effects. It was just bad.

Thankfully, there have been no indications that you have anything to worry about in that regard. The new "rivers" route should be slightly shorter, with improved (time will tell) visuals.
