Just putting this out there..but how would people feel if Disney announced they were gutting POTC in Orlando and replaced it with version in Shanghai? Along with expansion of that area. I would personally rather have this then another stupid smoke effect that never works.
Floridas POC? It's an embarrassment - let it burn. If you are speaking of changing out the other 3, no....

Despite the fact that WDW's Pirates is inferior to most, it still is a classic experience. That would be unforgivable to me. It would give me pause about returning to the parks. It's too essential an experience to throw away.

What with the huge light leak under his tail? Did that guy do Pirates too? I love his video of Mystic Manor.
First thing they've uploaded from Shanghai. I'm expecting a flood of videos once all the American videographer lifestylers come back home from the opening weekend to a place that doesn't have the Great Firewall. YouTube's been fairly quiet on Shanghai videos as far as post-official opening goes.

And we would have to wait until the end of there vacation until we see more videos from the park.

Im VERY excited. My new coworker has started conversations amongst others who work in the building and stop in my office, there is now a small herd of us planning to pick a Friday after work and go see the movie (followed by copious amounts of adult juice afterwards)- pet owners will definitely eat this movie up.

Thanks for your mini review!
I'm surprise more adults dont seem more focused on watching the "sausage" party movie lol.

As cool as the Shanghai version looks, I'd have to go on a soul search if they ever replaced the original. As a fan of the parks, POTC is a situation where I prefer the source material over the movies. Nothing against them or anything, its just that the the greatness of the original attraction is irreplaceable. It was one of Walt's last attractions and has that pure classic Disney DNA all over it that the movies haven't replicated despite their successes. Speaking about the ride in Florida specifically, its actually been looking pretty fantastic after its refurb late last year, so your smoke effect complaint is irrelevant.
But theres movie parts already inserted in pirates....

Because Sausage Party is edgy overly long Family Guy cutaway/Robot Chicken sketch garbage. I can say this with certainty because the script leaked during the Sony hacks and is full of such fine animation setpieces like a food orgy and food killing people using crack-laden needles that lets them see the food as anthropomorphic as they die.

Not all of us read the script you know.

I don't understand why Shanghai is getting so much coverage in the USA, and so much promotion, when they pretend that Tokyo doesn't exist, same for Hong Kong for that matter. Has anyone ever even mentioned DisneySea in American media, I wonder?

Most Americans probably have no idea there is a Tokyo Disneyland, but they haven't been able to miss the news about Shanghai.

TDL opened in 1983 when Walt Disney Productions was tiny. I knew it was being built because I was a crazy fanboi who liked to read. As to knowing ... today is different due to the Internet.

But the reason you can't miss SDL's debut is simply because of Bob Iger's ego and his concern over his legacy. Really that simple.
