A Spirited Dirty Dozen ...

You mean how the Christmas and Easter special have transformed at WDW?
I mean, the Christmas Special almost looks like a huge DVC commercial.
It reminded me more of the older Christmas Specials at WDW from the early 2000's before it changed in the late 2000's. I will never forget the choir singing Christmas songs and the characters joined in and at one point showed people at various Disney Parks around the world singing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" in different languages. This might have been back in 2004/2005.

I often criticize Bob for sounding boring and emotionless a lot, and rightfully so. But here, I have to give him some credit. I like his comments here.

He pointed out that SDL's Turkey Leg with hoisin sauce are "distinctly Chinese." Never misses a chance. His coment about the Mickey ears also made me laugh, in a good way. I love it!

But this next one is my favorite. In response to seeing a dozen people crouched on the castle floor, he said
“This is because we still don’t have enough benches or shade yet. Believe me, that’s getting fixed.” Bravo for pointing out a flaw. Obviously they made some mistakes and I'm glad he's aknowledging that. But geez, about the benches... could you please double the order? 'Cause there's another place that could use some too. ;)

I need to try a SDL Turkey Leg now.

Bob would have to actively give a flying rat's patootie about the parks in Florida he barely even visits to know that they don't have benches anymore in MK. He's personally invested in SDL in a way that I don't think I've ever seen him before, and certainly not with WDW.

Wow, when was the last time he was in Orlando? I think the Magic Kingdom's operational mission statement includes, "no benches, no shade, and no place to sit down to eat"!

....While he's ordering benches and shade for SDL, ya think we can get a duplicate order for Florida?

Gotta give credit where credit is due. Was at DHS this past weekend, and they have added a significant number of benches to sit on; not those dumb walls, but real life wood benches with backs. "Course, they still haven't added any to the MK (or AK for that matter).

Nice to see you alive and in these parts again, DimBulb! :D

You are affirming everything I have heard on the SDL attractions and Kong. Any deeper thoughts on Shanghai? (I know three hours isn't much, but you do have a trained eye!)
Nice to be back sir. The main takeaway during my limited time at SDL was how much I missed the scale at DL or HKDL. Because everything is so spread out at SDL and because so much of it is bigger, I think it's missing that warm, welcoming feeling from having the buildings and landscaping closer. Tomorrowland is just a mess and feels too industrial. I wish I had time to see Pan because it looks to be the best one out of all the parks.

The severe lack of rides probably forced their hand. I'm shocked there's not a fast pass system in place for them.

Or a cupcake party bench upcharge.

Any chance you think this problem might be "fixed" a little as future expansions are added to fill out some of the dead space?
