A simple question

We,ve only driven twice--it's about 2300 miles round trip for us (near Detroit).

Every five or six years! But doesnt going once a month take the total "magic" our of the trip (not the parks but the anticipation and the longing)?

We live in Florida, but unfortunately the city in Florida that is the most distant from WDW!!! We're non-local locals. Even with the 6.5 hour trip, we try to make it down every year. We have four trips planned (two down) for this year alone.

We end up with about five trips in a 12 month period and then a full year with no trips at all. So far, it has not taken away any of the "magic." We still spend tons of time dreaming about and planning each trip. The kids are pretty little, so there is always a new ride to ride that they weren't tall enough for on the previous trip. And, there is the excitement of trying new restraunts (and returning to favorites), seeing new shows and entertainers at World Showcase, trying a different resort once in awhile, taking a tour, etc. etc. We thought the first time we bought APs and took several trips that we'd get "Disneyed out" and not want to go back for several years. Instead, we found it really difficult to make ourselves wait a full year before buying a new set and returning. The most enjoyable part of going so often is never feeling rushed. So what if we miss such and such ride this trip? We'll be back soon. This gives us the chance to dawdle in the beautiful gardens, catch lots and lots of little shows, ride the train over and over when the kids want to, etc--a much less stressful way to see Disney.

you would think so...but it dosen't...its just as great everytime

I have gone two times a year the past years........but befoe that I was only there once every two or three years.....I was young back then, couldn't appriciate the parks..........Now I do!! so go more often!

We've been about 1x per year for the past few years... a couple of years we went 2x. The last time I was there was last July, and we're going again this July! That's not often enough, but I live too far away to go any more often, and don't have the money to go any more often either... BUT... we may go again in Feb. because my son may be marching in the Magic Kingdom Parade with his high school marching band!

Sadly, we have only been about 3 times in the last 15 years. But now that our daughter is 5 years old, we plan on going once a year. Our next trip is scheduled for the last week in August of this year. Round trip travel for us from Northern Michigan is about 2800 miles.

I was at WDW June 2001, September 2001, November 2001, February 2002 and will be there August 2002, ?October or November 2002, December 2002, and I haven't planned any further ahead than that! (and can't remember any further back )

I went there when I was a kid and barely remember what I saw.
I returned to work in the fall of 2000 (Sept-Jan) for my college program and had a blast. since then I try to go to disney when ever i get a chance. I coaxed my friends to go in March 2001 for a 1 week vacation. After not getting enough I returned in June 2001 for a week of work (yip I actually missed working there, and still do ). Now I'm in the works for saving enough moola to take another trip down there for work and hopefully find a job?!?!?

I have been to WDW 7 times, my first trip was when I was 3 in 1978, then in 1983 to see Epcot (was supposed to be a quick trip ended up staying to see MK too-hehe), then in 1988 and 1989. Then in 1996 at Christmas time a trip with my friends. Next trip was when my daughter was 1 in 2000. We just returned from a week long stay in April. The next trip will be in October for the Halloween Party and after that a week long vacation in February

I usually go about 3 to 4 times a year. I'm obsessed!!! I may live in Massachusetts, but it helps that I also own my own home in Orlando. So that alone allows me to be able to visit so often.
