A simple question

yes we do! The big reason they are both like this is because of the way they were raised. My dad was 2nd youngest of EIGHT kids, so they grew up pretty poor. and my mom and her sisters moved around as army brats, and then her parents died before my sister and I were born. My dad once said that he wanted to do something with us kids that he will always remember, and something he always wanted to do too. He gave us the opportunity to go to the best schools (ISU and UofI are the two family schools), and disney is our second home.

And I really do feel lucky, and I want to eventually work towards programs thru the YMCA that will help those kids and families out!

I was there yesterday - I go a minimum of once a year for at least a week. But my grandmother lives in Tampa so when I visit her I always go there for a day for a quick fix.

I am 18 and have gone to WDW at least once/year since I can remember. I am now an owner of DVC- well, my parents are. I am going to Vero Beach in January and also going to Beach Club Villas. After the trip (there is a good chance) I will stay down there and work for Disney in the WDWCP. So i'll be down there from he start of the year until late May next year! Awesome, eh!?

you gonna have a ball down there in the cp program. i recently just finished my program this past may, and absolutley loved it. here are some helpfull hints
1) living at vista way is by far the WORST experience i ever had. i had a 3 bedroom apartment for $67 and that price was not worth living in that dump. some people like vista, but if you compare it to chatham square or the commons, youll be losing out on your money.
2)the money factor: i personally didnt have any trouble with money because i worked a lot. i constantly picked up overtime shifts, and asked to extend my daily shifts. people who complain about the money, are the ones that dont want to work as much. me, i wanted to get as much experience as i can. (a little too much, i think)
3)dont be nasty to anyone. there will be people you work with who have been there for 10-20 years who know the business. most full timers, dont like cp's telling them what to do. also, don't be nasty to a guest. believe me. i've had my experiences. not good ones too!
all in all, youll have a blast! i worked at test track attractions and made the best bunch of friends i can find. im actually going back next may/june to work full time. going to disney has really changed my life for the better. i think it does that to some people.

I guess you could say we go pretty often. We are DVC members and have already made two trips this year and a third planned for July/Aug.

I have gone twice in the past year and we go back in Sept for the last time in a while. I am going to be saving for a wedding and a
house for May 2004. So this shall be my last Disney Vacation for a while. 5 days of happiness with my fiancee and gaining some weight.

We have been averaging every two years. Usually go in August but due to my son being in high school and school starting at the end of August we moved our trip this year to June. Unfortunately it was during that tropical wave thing and it POURED the whole time we were there. We did accomplish everything we set out to do!

Okay, here goes.

My first time to WDW was May 2001. My best friend had moved to Orlando, and asked me to visit. He worked during the days, and I needed something to do, so I went (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney/MGM).

He moved back to Texas, but I had unused days left on my Park Hopper . . . plus, I was hooked.

I arranged a trip for my brother and myself for the last week in February 2002. (My sister couldn't make it :( ). And we did the same three parks, PLUS we discovered Downtown DIsney. We loved it, especially Cirque du Soliel.

My sister saw the pictures, and was REALLY not happy to have missed out. So now I'm planning a trip for the whole Family. Mom and Dad, Me (I'm 33), my brother (31) and my sister (who will turn 30 a week before we go) and her boyfriend for March 2003 to celebrate Mom & Dad's 35th wedding anniversary. (I can hardly wait)

I've also got a freind who wants to go to GayDays 2003, so I'm trying to work that too.

Whew!

By the way, this is my first post on the forum, I just joined, and it just makes me ready to go RIGHT NOW!

I've only been once, Nov 2001, and planning to go next year, Nov. 2003. The plan for my whole family is every 2 years from here out. My brother got married at the Polynesian last trip without ever having been to Florida or WDW before!

i can honestly say that Florida is probably the most thrilling, exciting, magical place ever!!
