Once we tried to film our ride on a rapids adventure (Thunder River) at a local Six Flags using a digital camera. We had the camera inside a plastic sandwich bag the entire ride to protect the device from any water. Sure the video came out okay, but the sound was horrible as all you could hear was muffled noise through the plastic. Now there are stricter camera rules in place for rides such as these, and probably for good reason.A couple weeks ago, we went to our local Six Flags and went on their rapids ride. My wife put her phone in a baggie and put it in her pocket. After we got off, she realized she didn't have her phone. We got back in line and when our "boat" (#23) came back around after being ridden again, we found it next to one of the seats still sealed in the bag...phone was perfectly fine!!
Next trip I want to test the tip that if you put your camera and lenses in zip locks at night they don't get condensation when you walk out of an air conditioned room.
And Here I thought this thread was going to be about people that bring in their bologna sandwiches.
I tried this in Disney at the beginning of the month and it didn't work. I've since heard that you need to use a good quality/thick plastic bag with the air removed before sealing it. If you find a way to make it work, please let me know. I hated cleaning off the camera and lens everyday, and worrying about condensation inside the camera.
LOL, the OP reminds me of this:
