Any site that is serious about security will keep vBulletin 2.3.4, the latest stable version (or earlier stable versions). vB2 has been tested on tens of thousands of sites and has a good track record. vBulletin 3 is still very new. Let others be on the "cutting edge" (read bleeding edge) of technology. I think Steve will keep vBulletin 2.3.2 until the bugs are worked out of vBulletin 3.

I see your point, but vB3 is built on vB2, and it's been in testing (by the public) since June.

Ah well, it's really up to Steve when it comes right down to it, but he should at least visit this thread which deals with a major security issue in vB2.

I am testing the upgrade at the moment on a test server. Its difficult. LOL. The database is BIG, its looking at being roundabout 24 hours to do the VB3 upgrade. Then I have the complication of interfacing it with the photoalbums and reviews system. One of the disadvantages of a big forum is that its no longer a 30 minute job to update.
Once all the testing is done, I will do the live system. So maybe within the next few weeks or so. :)

Amazing at all that work for a forums, especially since it only took 30 min for the upgrade for FTN's forums....
Will you install any hacks??

No hacks, as on large forums that just adds to the already complex situation in the event of future upgrades. I think the VB3 functionality covers pretty much everything right out of the box.

How about a hack where whenever someone mentions a ride or show at WDW, you can click on the word to be teleported to the entrance. That shouldn't be too hard ;)
