But I do my fries with little dips of mayo on the side and my DH cringes. He would say that is a head-scratching combo. But other parts of the world do that more than ketchup.

I looked it up a long time ago to back myself up with DH, LOL!

I thought it was just me, but I mix mayo with the ketchup then dip the fries.

You can lift it and eat it as a sandwich, but fruit always falls out.

Your pics have inspired me what to wear tomorrow night on our valentines night out at our only Italian restaurant in village...Black silk shirt,with black pants,and black full length leather coat,black shoes & socks,and my black Fedora hat.My DW says you'll look like the " The Undertaker " ( wrestler ) I said to her." Hey baby doll,it's a match made in heaven."

Actually, other places mix it and I think call it something like "fry sauce."

And then some burger chains in the U.S. have always just called it their "special sauce." A mix of both and maybe something else thrown in too.

Mayo with fries is awesome and if I can get my paws on malt vinegar too...

Rose and Crown knows. I'm the lady that drowns the fries in vinegar and then requests the side of mayo for dipping as my DH cringes in horror. LOL!

Acutally, Raglan has the malt vinegar too.

No...if you like it, then it is your choice...nothing wrong about it. Now if you were dipping the fries in peanut butter, that might be wrong.

Dipping sauce is a beautiful thing. Remember like 10-20 years ago and before, it was mustard, ketchup, mayo at restaurants and that was about it.

But since then, flavored mayos, remoulades, ranches, pepper sauces, etc, are everywhere now.

And I am lovin' it!
