A long time Disney fan turns sour!

Man, don't EVEN think about buying a pizza at a Cedar Fair park. You will blow a gasket...

Worse than the prices at Via Napoli?

Apples to oranges comparison.

And yes, 2 Small slices of cheese pizza and 2 small breadsticks is $15.99. Want a drink? Add $5 for a soda.

The 10inch pie at Via Napoli is a much better deal, and atmosphere.

I know it's apples and oranges, that was a tongue in cheek comparison. Pizza is one of the few things at WDW that's reasonable almost everywhere. At Pizza Rizzo a personal pizza and drink would be under $15.

I found a place with kids meals.. not all locations have them.

Does this look much different than Disney?

Subway..

I can get a much better meal at Captain Cook’s.. for about the same price, and much larger portions at Disney.

They're roughly the same for many things, table service is less expensive at Universal but counter service is often the same. I think kids meals at Universal are more expensive than Disney. Water bottles also cost more at Universal than Disney.
Which makes my point stand - Disney really is not that expensive comparing it to other theme parks
Ahh, Essex,Pizza Express and Roman ruins.
Colchester didn't actually have any Pizza Express', but we do have a whole tonne of roman ruins... And we're not all orange nor do we sound like they do on THAT programme :p

I don't compare Times Square pricing to WDW's...because they are two different pricing animals.

It's a comparison to aggregate American surburbia markets where the pricing "war" is won or lost by the walt disney company...As it has been since July 1955
I am not comparing, I am simply agreeing that places which are tourist hotspots tend to be MORE expensive in general.... Why be so awkward about everything?

At Disney last week I just wanted a grilled cheese at Port Orleans food court. I was told this was a kids meal (noted on menu as for kids under 9), but that it's fine for adults to order kids meals for themselves too. (Not quite sure why I never just did this before, or thought I needed some sort of permission-but whatever.) Anyway, what I found is that a kids meal is plenty of food! The main entree plus a choice of two sides (commonly a choice of fries, apple slices and kids size yogurt), plus a kids size chocolate milk, soda, water or juice.

With the average cost of a kids meal at counter service restaurants being under $8.00, this is my new way of eating at Disney. An adult can eat three meals for $25 dollars a day. Once in a while I would add ice cream or something else purchased as a snack, or buy soda or coffee in the parks. Mostly though I relied on the granola bars and drink boxes I brought from home.

I know this wouldn't work for everyone, especially for people who enjoy a meal at a table service restaurant, or like larger portions. But on this trip I traveled with just may parents and it worked so well for us. Much cheaper to forgo the QS dining plan and just pay for the meals.

I get your points...I do...I'm
Sorry if I'm coming off combative because that Is not my intent.

Over the years, I've seen a lot of pricing analogies for Disney parks that don't quite hold. One is "it's just as expensive as where I live...". Well that depends on where you live. Completely a case by case scenario.

While the prices are good to a Londoner or New Yorker...I'd think a Parisian wouldn't be impressed with food quality relative to their prices.

The other analogy that is used a lot by Americans is sporting events or theater. Yeah...that is just as expensive or moreso...but for 3 hours, not an aggregate week. Local amusement parks fall into that category a lot as well. The analogy doesn't entirely fit.

Again, sorry if I came off the wrong way...no ill will intended.

Price is relative. If it's something I want, it's worth it to me. If I keep analyzing whether it's worth it, it may no longer be worth it. My time and peace of mind is worth a great deal to me. I bought he DDP, I'm happy with it. I don't care to debate whether it's worth it or not. It's worth it to me. Isn't that the point?

Yes, that is exactly the point.

You should explain the first menu -- that's Skyline Chili, and the cheese coneys are about 5 inches long. A three way is spaghetti, cheese and Skyline chili on a plate.
https://www.skylinechili.com/ways.php

A single 6" dog with chili and cheese at Casey's corner is $10.99. The footlong would probably be comparable to two coneys, which rings in at $12.49. Not quite apples to apples, but if one can get a pair of coneys and fries for $11.49, it invalidates any argument that food at the reference park is more expensive. Anyone who would attempt to make a Subway comparison shouldn't ever be taken seriously anyway. :joyfull: A menu of selections of overpriced Disney grass would be more attractive. :joyfull:

That’s a bit more food than a single 3” coney.
2 cheese coneys + fries = 11.49

I’m not sure if you just don’t read what is posted, if photos aren’t showing up, or- if you just like to argue about anything and everything when you can see that you’re wrong.

If you want to compare WDW to a random McDonalds... yes, it’s more. Compare it to any other entertainment venues- it’s comparable.

I really shouldn't bother to try and converse with crazy.
