That's how he will keep his cred. He says things without ever saying anything at all. That way when actual facts do get released he will be able to say he knew it all all along.

Why is it on this message board when someone questions some random "insiders" credibility they are instantly branded a troll? I know that some of you are desperate for insider information, but this guy just ain't it, period. BTW, Lee DID in fact state that he questions this guy's cred.

I've been on the board long enough to see these types come and go. Always spouting off at the mouth on everything they know, and when the facts come out and they are proven wrong they disappear, never to be seen again. Like I said, I highly doubt someone who was so involved in this project would have the time to post so much. Have you seen how many posts this guy has in this thread alone?

I'll try to keep this positive.
In regards to my postings. I have been around since May 2002. 1200 posts in 8 years is not that much. It's Sunday night, I'm watching TV and on my comp with nothing else to do. My posts during the week is because I work from home on my comp, so having the recent threads up is no biggie for me.

I have been following these threads because I'm really excited about the new changes.

I completely understand you and others questioning my credibility. That's your right. It frustrates me that I can't provide any other information but that's how it is. Telling more would breach confidentiality. I know that all that is left is you guys trusting me on my word, but that's all I can offer. I'm sorry if that's not ideal.

Lee and I have had a chance to chat personally. He is in agreement that I do know what I'm talking about. We have been able to talk further than what we can share on these boards. Once again, I'm sorry if that's not ideal.

I can offer you this: once the plans are announced, I hopefully can discus what I know further. I wrote an email to myself and I will post it so that there is information with a time stamp (don't worry it won't be forged) showing what I knew and verify my claims. I've have also stated that what I know is current as of beginning of August, so if it changes between then and the future, I'll admit it.

ok?

Am I the only one not buying this "Juan" crap? Lee pretty much already debunked him anyhow. Anyone could come on here and say "Oh I know the plans, but I can't tell you." Sad...

Give it a rest, at least the Juan crap(supposing it is, which I don't) makes for better reading and discussion than most of the other so called rumors and theories we see around here, cough JT Cough. Maybe Juan met the new sheriff in person

I'm gonna have to ask you guys to trust me on this.
Juan's info is checking out.
I am somewhat aware of the circumstances by which he came to have the info, and fully understand why he can't go into details at this point.

I understand how frustrating it can be to know the info you want is there, but being unable to get to it. I've been hassling every source I have trying to get a handle on Project X, and I'm really no closer to it.
(I'm pretty sure it's gonna give me an ulcer or make my hair more gray...)

Lee, it's all about how things are said. You have a much better way of wording everything. You don't seem as arrogant. And you don't put the same thing up over and over. As I said, I think it's great you are an insider but there is no need of saying that you can't tell us over and over. Whats even the point of being a part of the discussion? Plus have have given us info and brushing us up on the facts you know. Thank you.

I was only responding arrogantly to arrogant posts directed at me. I tried to keep rather friendly with my post at the top of the page.
The repetition is that I get asked the same questions over and over. I try to give the courtesy of responding to people that direct questions to me.

Fair enough. Perhaps the questions wouldn't be asked to you if you weren't so prevalent in this particular thread? Obviously you can only say so mush at this point.

Seriously, some people need to just chill. Juan has been nothing but class the entire time. He answers all questions in the forum, even PM's! His info (even if it is a lack there of) checks out on all accounts. This board has been boring for quite some time due to lack of anything substantial, Juan and Lee have made the board exciting and given us something to talk about.

On an aside, did we ever find out what someone was hinting about the the Adv Club? Also Juan, any hints as to what the other things you saw?

I guess I can feel juan's pain...
Way back in 2003 or so, I got hold of photos of the Everest model, and was shown some art. Way before anyone even knew the ride's name or that it was really coming.
I was able to speak about what I had, but couldn't post a photo. It's really frustrating to have info that you are excited about and being unable to share it.

Ah, the anxiety is killing me. Thanks for all the updating Juan and thank you Lee for all these confirmations. Is this enough for people? Juan's knowing backed up by Lee's word? More than enough for me:shrug:

someone has hinted at the AC, I can't confirm though

I was really interested in Shanghai, more details of the DCA expansion, and expansions at the other foreign parks

PS. Another thing I would like about DL (if I lived in the area) is the much-talked of higher ratio of locals! ;) I bet you guys feel a much greater sense of "ownership" of the parks. And you guys get all those great premieres of the restored Animated Classics at the El Capitan... and D23 conventions.... and the Walt Disney museum in the Bay Area.... :)

It's a vastly different culture and feel at Disneyland Resort compared to WDW. Like you, I'm a big Epcot fan and yet it makes me sad to see what the Magic Kingdom has been allowed to devolve into over the past 15 years, especially compared to Disneyland. Animal Kingdom is great though, and makes up for it a bit.

As for the recent, and rather dazzling, technology upgrades this summer at Disneyland's Snow White, Thunder, Indy, Pirates, etc.... You might enjoy reading this article just posted on the Disneyland board. It's a facilities industry trade magazine, and it has a roundtable interview with a bunch of Imagineers including Tony Baxter about the upkeep and updates they do at Disneyland. It's quite telling, and relates to the topics going on here in this FLE thread. http://todaysfacilitymanager.com/articles/technology-trends-more-than-simply-technology.php

One of the most explanatory sections was the following comments from Tony Baxter and Disneyland's Vice President of Maintenance;

Baxter: "...As a result, we have many rides and attractions here at Disneyland that are not in any of the other parks: the Matterhorn Bobsleds, Alice in Wonderland, Storybook Land Canal Boats. There’s also a charm and tightness and a wealth of things to do at Disneyland. It’s ultra rich.

Sheranian: And attractions are updated all of the time.

Baxter: Does it not only fit into Disneyland, but then does it fit in the logical subset of Fantasyland or Adventureland? These are things we ask ourselves a lot stronger in California, because there is that level we have to uphold not only for ourselves but also for a very discriminating audience.

Sheranian: Our clientele here at this park is extremely discriminating. We get much more critical issues written up on the Internet for our part, because guests come and visit Disneyland multiple times in a year.

McIntyre: The reality of the theme park business here at Disneyland is that we need new products, attractions, and entertainment experiences to give our guests reasons to come back. A ride has an approximate five year development cycle and can cost tens to hundreds of millions of dollars. Smaller special events can be turned around faster."

The article goes on to talk about the redone Small World ride, and so forth. It's heavy into the industry talk, but it's fascinating. And quite telling as to the current difference in management and operation between Magic Kingdom at WDW and Disneyland at DLR.

And, a good road trip is always fun. I've driven across this great country several times on the northern and southern routes, and it's always a fascinating journey that is infinitely more compelling than an airplane ride. Good luck on your next drive out to California! And the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco?! Not to be missed! I went last December and was blown away. Don't miss it!

Alot of the posters around here are going through depression phases(periods) and are agitated to the brissle that they were slopped with chilli dog fodder after attending that blue creature who we shall not names ride in Tommorrowland. So excuse the poor attitudes as their more directed at that monstrosity then they are towards Juan or Lee.

I'm pretty sure someone in the know said we would like what we get. But do you think that it is going to have a lasting appeal and that we will love it when it's announced and opens? I'll I want is a yes or no, not a no reply. :)
