Well...I still prefer the more holidayish vibe and character choice of the original but holy crap if that wasn't the most awesome way to flip on the lights. Projection mapping has found its true calling. And did they turn the snow machines on too? Talk about going all out. They even continued to use the castle balcony and have two Olaf's just cause? Shocking. Also, while the spell casting and the lead up was a bit drawn out - the dialogue was surprisingly natural and not very cheesy while working it a bunch of the famous lines and more importantly I love what they did with the music. THANK GOD they didn't actually have her sing the blasted song.

Saw it live.
The great:
projection mapping phenomenonal
the characters felt endearing and true to the film
the Pyro with the castle lighing up was lovely
the needs improvement:
The voices. Only returning cast of the film is Josh gad and no one else. It's quite noticeable too.
More characters should be included. Throw Cinderella in there. They had a perfect Segway to use her with "we are just visiting" line but she never comes out. Compared to the last show its a little bare with the characters.
Beyond that this is jndeed an improvement could be perfect with just the right touches.

You realize all of the face characters were talking live right? Nothing was prerecorded which I absolutely LOVE. It's so refreshing to have live actors on the castle stage again. Even though the film voices are nice, there's just something really off about perfectly capable performers and actors lip synching to simple prerecorded dialogue. LOVE THE NEW SHOW. Great job entertainment!

^this. Having watched the first lighting and stayed for the second lighting, and watching DAWM in between, I absolutely loved that the performers got to use their actual voices. It's always jarring to hear Peter Pan's voice come out of a man's body, so I'm glad the Frozen characters didn't have to lipsync.

Honestly it looks great! Can't wait to see it in person later this month. The Olaf wasn't that great. But... I can live with it I guess. But for a movie that made so much money they could've put a little more effort into Olafs costume he was like taller then Elsa. Can you say unrealistic?

I was on the second floor of the train station and I could see from there that Olaf was a foot taller than Anna.
I know we are on Frozen overload but this was PERFECT. Very well done.

I agree. It was very well done. It was impressive. There was no singing. It was a good incorporation of the projectors. I also agree that frozen is 100% over blown & oversaturated and over done right now and it's just going to get worse as the month goes on…

Not bad. Dialogue and choreography fits for the characters. My only criticism is that it seems like the entire thing is a bit too long. Specifically the castle projection sequence seems to stretch and I feel like they need to stick to the graphics/animation being realistic without resorting to the over over-enlarged cliche snowflakes.

With Olaf, I think Entertainment struggled to find a middle ground. In the end I think they went with a taller version to ensure that they would be able to easily duplicate, otherwise they would have the old Donald/Seven Dwarfs issue with ensuring they have enough Cast that meet the requirements. I also think if they went the short route we would have seen something more akin to Mike Wazowski with limited animation and mobility. That and Disney on Ice already did the dirty work with the design. $$$.
