A few Epcot bits and bobs.

Popped in to Epcot tonight, the main reason was I booked up the Candlelight Processional for the family to see Whoopie Goldberg.

The show was absolutely fantastic, it is one of my favourite things to do every Christmas season. Everything from the Orchestra to the Choir to the lighting to the conductor was perfect. We had tickets for the 5 o' Clock performance and was very fortunate that the rain had finished just literally minutes before show time.

Epcot's tree was absolutely fine all evening until around about 9 o'clock. Popped in to Journey into Imagination a little before 9 and it was on. By the time we come out, total darkness once again. It never returned on for the rest of the time we were in the park which was until at least 10:15.

Illuminations was fantastic as allways, perimeters were not being used today, it was quite windy in World Showcase so that was probably the reason. Was standing with a cast member near the lagoon at the Rose and Crown having a little chat about the show which was very nice.

Speaking of Journey into Imagination, the ladder is still there laying on the floor, this needs to be moved it is very poor show. The scene after was also having issues each time I rode today (Channing projected on the moon), where the audio was fading in and out every few seconds.

Spaceship Earth still has the light bleeding from a projector at 180 Top, looks distracting should also be addressed.

I heard a couple of people talking recently about the new handrail around the Fountain of Nations having issues with it's LEDs, they were all working perfectly fine all evening and night today, they looked great!

Some fittings have also been installed this year above the entrance turnstiles with snow flake gobos fitted projecting on the monorail beam and monorail station. Looked quite nice but affected quite abit by the winds.

Last little thing I noticed, in the preshow for Mission: Space more intense,(The furthest away room) there is an issue with one of the monitors on the far left, very jumpy picture at the moment).

Fantastic evening at Epcot as always. :)

Illuminations on Friday, Dec. 11 was not at full effect (from my viewpoint after seeing fireworks again Dec 15) -- perimeter fireworks killed due to chilly conditions, some extra wind (which pushed the smoke toward American Adventure and Morocco).

Saw Illuminations Dec. 15, my last evening on my six-day trip. Perfect weather. No wind, little if any, and clear skies. Perimeter fireworks were sweet. Never seen that before - single-shot fireworks angling in from the countries over into the World Showcase lagoon.

Very interesting how Disney techs keep an eye on weather and modify the fireworks show.

The holiday and peace on earth ending Dec. 15 was intense!

Definately, they can be over ridden right up the the last minute. If they believe there is a chance they could cause any form of problem they are not fired.

I'm glad you were able to see the show with the Perimeters, they are a great effect.

Where was the ladder? I walked through the attraction last night and didn't see it.

I've made comments about the ladder in my updates over the past month. It's such bad show! haha

It's right in the big Figment scene, at the base of the block tower with Figment and the crane. Just a typical orange work ladder.

Ha! Well did you happen to notice other contruction elements around the same area? The crane? The pallet jack? This is actually part of the show.

I know the pallet jack after the smell lab is part of the show, but I'm pretty sure this ladder isn't and wasn't there in the past. It's sitting between clouds, so its not with the "construction scene." Also the ladder is not modified whereas the pallet jack is painted and neutralized (no labels, etc).

It is at the far left hand side of the scene just before you exit that section. Laying on it's side it was red.

I'm almost certain it was not there in the past.

where is this light visible on SSE? is it visible from outside or is it outside light when you're one the ride...?

Just as you enter the 180 top as we call it on here (the section after the matrix scene, just as your about to rotate backwards for your return to earth. It is there on the left hand side in the middle of the starts being projected on the wall.

I have no idea what that light bleed on the 180top of SSE is is, but it almost looked like it was intentional raather than accidental. Either way, it needs to be covered up because it looks awful.

It is intentional - it is actually projected from its own source as opposed to being a leak. The projector is behind the lower lunar surface cutouts actually on the 115 level deck.

And its awful.

It is terrible. I don't know why it's there either. No one could ever answer the question while the refurb was going on.

Perhaps to signify your "time-machine" entering back into the current time, sort of a "time-warp" field?
:shrug::confused:
