Not an option? Alrighty then...

I'm also in the two week category. I feel like that gives me plenty of time and I've gotten Disney out of my system for a while.

I'd love to do more, shorter trips, but airfare is expensive, so might as well get the maximum benefit out of it.

Our record is 19 days. There was a hurricane back home, so we extended the trip. It was lovely.

We changed our 7 day trips to 10 day trips a few years ago, and that's perfect for us. It leaves us some days to relax at the resort, and time to visit our favorite parks more than once if we need to without feeling rushed. I'd love to do 2 weeks, but can't swing it with work & all the activities my daughter is joining now that she's getting older. We also drive from PA, so staying less than a week made us go crazy. We felt like we couldn't get back in the car already.

6 nights 7 days is our max.:( 2 travel days 4 park days, and one "rest/resort" day. I sure would love to stay 2 weeks. Not affordable for us, but believe it or not, we've never been to the water parks!:arghh:

I would LOVE to take a 2 week trip! Maybe one day.

I did go for 10 days in November, and it was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing trips I've taken. We always go for 6 or 7 nights, so having the extra few nights made it so much better.. I was able to slow down, relax at the resort more, and upon arrival I didn't rush to a park like I normally do. I just enjoyed the resort. The weather this past November was unusually hot, so I made sure to take a break each afternoon to swim, walk around or take a short nap before heading back out in the evenings. I was able to do 1 day of Universal and IOA - something I never do! I thought 10 days was perfect! :D

I still haven't found the perfect length. Our usual stays are about 4 nights, that's not nearly enough. I'm exhausted, but we haven't been to all of the parks and I'm sad to go home. I'm thinking to try for 6 or 7 nights in April 2017......

Now, look, I love Disney (why else would I be on wdwmagic lol), but how can you people do two weeks at Disney?? Maybe I don't take my time in the parks, but I am more than satisfied with a week or even 5 days.

Two weeks of just Disney is absolutely overkill. I've done longish trips (to Disneyland) and by the end you've seen everything and the things that were fine at the beginning (such as crowds) become more and more irritating.

I think most people who do two weeks "at Disney" are doing things outside the WDW bubble, or just doing partial days at the park and enjoying down time at their resort, pool, Disney Springs, etc.

I'm hoping for 14 days on my next trip. I'm thinking 6 full days at the Disney theme parks (probably spread out over some half days), at least two days at water parks, 2 days at Universal, a visit to NASA, a shopping day, a day to do miscellaneous Florida things, and lots of down time.

It's easy to fill two weeks in Orlando, but just Disney that whole time? Yeah, too much.

Absolutely! If you are going to do other things in Orlando, you definitely need the extra time. I really enjoy the NASA center!

Do you folks who go for 2 weeks or more have pets? Do you board them for that time?

I feel really guilty just taking a 3 day trip and leaving her home. (We have a local pet-sitter in the neighborhood who comes to visit and walk her twice a day and feed her.) I like that better than boarding her because she is in her own home and (I presume) less disrupted.

But I even feel bad bringing her on our short Disney trips - we take her to Best Friends Pet Care during they day, and then back to an off-property pet friendly hotel with us at night. She knows where she is when we pull into the BFPC lot, and gets excited, and we play with her out in the back playground before leaving, but she never eats well there and is always extremely thirsty when we pick her up.

And I see the difference in her reaction when we get home from a 2 day trip vs. a 4 day trip (much more pronounced reaction - licking, jumping, etc.) I think a week would bother me more than it would her LOL.

Last time we stayed, we stayed for 8 days and still missed out on a lot of things. I think the "perfect" length of your stay depends on the other people in your party and your budget. If it was just me and my husband, I'd think a good stay would be in the 5-6 day range. But with my kids, we need a few more days 'cause they can't keep up with the faster pace and they need breaks. I wish we could afford to go for 2 weeks but that is probably never going to happen. LOL
