On that note, I'm just not a fan of jerks in general.

I do dig huuuuge crowd cheering in a riotous form at FANTASMIC, though... I'm "guilty" in a lot of your standards. And The Wave... and "Jump! Shake your body. Jump! Jump! Shake your body." I guess the word "booty" is too harsh on the portuguese tongue.

Oh, and pass it with the take-it-easy on the excessive flaming.

What scares me the most is the amount of teens in those tour groups from Brazil that I am seeing with obvious plastic surgery:lookaroun... Mommy and daddy are waaaaaay too generous down there!

And scarier yet, I thought they followed me home when I ran into 2 tour groups at Sawgrass Mills, in Sunrise, FL!! I thought only the ghosts were allowed to do that??

What are you even talking about? How is anyone "generalizing"? Have you been to Brazil. I have...twice. The culture is vastly different there than here in the US. There is no such thing as "personal space"...there just isn't. People are loud, they sing and chant in public and bump into you without even an attempt at an aplology. But, that is their culture. To us, it is rude and unacceptable. But there, it is just the daily norm.

And that is the problem, I think. It is normal there, not here. When I was down there, I accepted the culture and behavior because it was their home, not mine. So to some, this is our home. The feeling is that you respect the home you are in.

There is nothing racist about that.

I just wanted to thank you for posting this. Earlier in the thread I posted that my only complaint was when they bump into you and do not even attempt to apologize for it. Since I have never taken that much of an interest in the culture, I did not know that this was common practice in Brazil. It explains the lack of an apology and makes me feel a lot less jaded about the actions of these groups.

All the people who posted things about racism and bigotry are very ignorant to the fact that if there was a tour group from New York City that was as loud and obnoxious as the Brazilians are and they came every year people on this forum would be saying " Those damn New Yorkers". It just so happens that rude people come in cycles at Disney...whether it be their "culture" or not it is generally rude...not all of the groups are rude but the majority seem to be less caring. So all I am trying to say is don't turn something so simple into a complex race issue. It has nothing to do with it..it's the fact that they chant and sing and walk into you and don't care about other people who "paid the same money" as one member put it to get into the park. So the people crying "BIGOTRY! or RACISM! relax because unless your some kind of super human with no reaction to rude behavior I have a feeling if walked into you would say the same thing.

But those New Yorkers, like Londoners with bigger mouths and smaller brains, the damn non English speakers, those who can speak English but murder it despite it being their native tongue, the Canadians, or YankLite as they should ne called, the English chavs in their sportswear, those who ware Universal clothing, all jovial Oirish craicsters your not funny, especially not the plastic wannabees, fat people in bad clothes, skinny people impersonating a refugee - have a burger, people in wheel chairs - do you realise you hold me up, people with children- cant you keep them locked up at home till they are adults I dont want to hear their attention seeking, theme park expert- youve read a few books on bearing grease and widgets - big deal I dont want to know how many nails are in the haunted mansion, diet soda drinkers- your going to die anyway that drink is like poison, cheerleaders - make the most of it cause pretty soon the looks will be gone and shallow and vacuous is all that will be left, gangstas - ye right but to be fair its nice to know you are actually wearing underwear, and worse of all you free Disney Dinning vacationers- next to cheap in the dictionary there is a picture of you.
