The new park commercials

How can you possibly know that?
Going by the kids in my daughter's school, what my nieces are into and the different ads I see during what kid watches. Very little is Disney related other than Bluey.

You can't tell me kids are into Disney IP as much as they were when the World of Disney was a show.
I'm not saying kids aren't into Disney at all but with the amount of Kids related IP out there that isn't Disney you can't say the majority have Disney as the number 1.

that's true, but only if one doesn't know about Epic.

There are quite a few ads now for Epic though, so I am wondering what % of (potential) theme park customers don't yet know about it.
Outside of Florida, most still don’t know about Epic. I still have friends who are huge on Disneyland and USH who have no idea what it is even after I’ve told them about it!!

The one organic mention I’ve seen of it in my life is a coworker asking me if I knew about a How to Train Your Dragon theme park. She still thinks it’s a park only about HTTYD.

Our presence on these forums and communities is pretty insular. I’m pretty convinced Epic will be a success because of it’s quality, but I think it’s going to be a slow burn, not a runaway hit.

It will get more recognition in the spring when the media picks it up

Hell…the Today show will probably do a spot on it for weeks

You just have to look at the boxoffice to think otherwise. Heck Moana is still a top5 streamed movie, bluey is a top5 show.

Not sure what else you'd expect from preschoolers. They are limited by what their parents let them watch.

Just a strange way to form an opinion.

My point was that with the amount of options for kids now that Disney is the dominant one like it was back when World of Disney was on TV every Sunday night.

My post was in response about the PP saying if they were a kid and they saw the Ad it would make them want to go Disney. My point the Disney IP the kids are into like Moana and Bluey aren't even mentioned in the Ad. The other thing kids like is rides and they aren't shown much either.

Disney is iconic and part of the cultural zeitgeist ,It's not like kids see WDW and mickey and have no idea what they are seeing.

And this still makes zero sense. Back when World of Disney was on there were three channels, no streaming, and kids were watching Disney related movies/shows at home on VHS. Now there are countless ways for families to watch Disney at home, such as, Disney+. A dedicated streaming platform for all things Disney.

All 3 of my kids were playing star wars for the first time ever because of skeleton crew and I'm an old school star wars nerd.

Wow, very nice ad indeed. Gave me goosebumps!

Looks like WDW is ready for another jam-packed, excellent year of classic Disney magic!

Take THAT Universal!

Gah. I am so sick of everyone around here just crapping on anything and everything Disney does. I know, I know. "We just want it to be as good as it used to be." No, you don't. You just want to complain. FFS, go down the street to Universal and leave the rest of us alone to actually enjoy things.

The ad is good. Very good. Nothing wrong with it at all. And you know what? My family was at Disney in September and it was also great. Call me a pixie duster if you want. But I'd rather be that than constantly upset about everything Disney does.

Register on WDWMAGIC. This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
