MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

This is just bolstering an assumption with another assumption though. Besides, wouldn’t tying Iger to the table have made it more likely that the table would have actually happened? CEOs are pretty good at getting their pet projects done.
Just ask Eisner he always got his pet projects done for better or for worse

Do you notice how they preserved the view of the mansion by variegating the canopy and blending the fence to hide the horde of people waiting in line?
Maybe the fences hiding the few people near the mesa?
Yeah, they used to think about those things......
I don’t know what variegating means but I can still see the horde of people waiting in line not that it’s a problem of course

Im more saying that regardless of this leaving, it's not as if it's the only place to get this on property. I don't really believe they will pull off Cars land fitting well and I don't want the river gone.

Im just open to why it arguably has to go to do anything of substance in the area or beyond.
I feel like they are trying to shoehorn cars land in. Like the villains land and would like to make sure that has the space it needs. Outside of Swiss family tree house and TSI there were no rides associated with movies or cartoons. Obviously they made all the movies later. Care land to me doesn’t belong in MK. Even if they kept TSI and ROA. Like them to keep the Pixar stuff together. They probably don’t have the space but care belongs in HS. Just my thoughts.

Sorry forgot to add no movies in adventure and frontier lands.

I just think they wanted to build out "beyond Big Thunder" and they determined that significant work would realistically be needed to the river to enable sufficient crowd flow. Not that it all has to go but while they are doing to work might as well add more rides and capacity there vs the space that didn't get a ton of usage for the area it took up, etc - so added benefit of even more capacity / worth the trade off - especially compared to reduced version that would have been left

Then they have Cars which is a very popular IP and not really represented at WDW and thought kill 2 birds with one stone and use that as the IP for the area and use National Parks as the theme to fit better

Not what I would have done but can also understand the thinking and hope the end product is great - but do think the margin of error is high

Yeah, actually his return rate on "pet projects" is not very good.
In order captain eo star tours mgm studios and tower of terror muppet vision 3d euro Disneyland extraterrestrial alien encounter Indiana Jones adventure Disney California adventure and Walt Disney studios Paris only thing that got cut that I would consider pet projects of his is muppet studios

You think Walt Disney Studios Park was a pet project? Only in that it was the sad remnants of a much bigger vision that included Disney-MGM Studios Europe, Tokyo Disney-MGM Studios and the Disney-MGM Studios Backlot.

We can just skip to the big one, Shanghai Disneyland.

Kind of like with the SM mountain changeover, I love the revisionist back flips being done now to rationalize these changes, suddenly saying a quality, well built part of MK fabric and history just wasn’t that good.

Change “SM wasn’t that great of an attraction and needed repairs anyway”

To-

“Frontierland in WDW wasn’t that great the others are better. And nobody visited TSI it was outdated and not popular. So who cares”.
They could announce the castle is leaving tommorow and it'd suddenly be "Well where's Cinderella's attraction? The last movie about her tanked, there's other castles around the world". It's madness

Here are variegated leaves. This should clear up all confusion...

I do consider it one as the remains of those plans it was just done cheaper than originally planned

This is pretty much exactly where im at with it. They will do what makes the most sense overall to them. Its why Monsters land is going where it is, because they get a full land out of it with a fraction of the work needed compared to Animation courtyard.
People act like them compromising things is new, but it's not. I mean, Dinoland and Camp Minnie Mickey were to entire lands that were compromised and are still being "fixed"

No one is offering feasible crowd flow and infrastructure solutions while being able to save the river. I'm sure there is one, but if we cant figure one out, than how can we ask them to "not do this?"

And, "just build beyond the front section" isn't a solution. It's an idea that is way more complicated than ppl give it credit
