My utter loathing of Bob Iger and those he has put in their positions for Disney Parks is starting to know no bounds. Not sure Luminous is enough to have me keep the Pass as more abject stupidity like this continues. If this is what Bob's Guests want, I really don't know that I want to be around any of it. (Yes, I know this is a small, formerly unused space. But, it shows the utter disregard for so much of what made Disney Parks special for so many years.)
Its not formerly unused. It used to be a lovely gift shop. I have two prints hanging on my wall by Canadian artists that I bought there and framed. They may have originally been blank greeting cards, but they are nevertheless art, and frame-worthy.

There was also a variety of soap/perfumes, and Anne of Green Gables books and merch.

I am in total alignment with your disgust.
It’s only cool if it’s a small component of otherwise competent theming, which is likely not the case here. If that’s more or less all the theming there is, then it comes off as superficial and cynically pandering.
There's nothing cool about this. Nothing at all.

I think I figured it out. On April 1st Disney is going to “announce” something as an April Fools Day joke that will actually make sense and excite the fan base.

Then they’ll be completely bewildered by the backlash once they reveal it was made in jest. And they still won’t “get it”.

Example:

“We’re taking some prime EPCOT land in one of the pavilions to create a DVC showcase center” - completely serious.

“We’ve decided to build a state of the art thrill coaster that will surpass Velocicoaster” - April Fools.

Marrakesh is sitting empty, dont put it past them......and I doubt there will be Canadian cast working in this location (someone had mentioned a couple posts up, probably regular dvc selling cast. A Lakeshore Lodge layout I could maybe see here but the Polynesian??? It's absolute garbage what they are doing.

I’m assuming that this means that the DVC booth that is outside the Canada pavilion will be staying? Can’t have too much DVC presence, right?
I’m thinking there will be some sort of wait list to get into the chateau so maybe this will be the check in area?

Canadian cast will help host the venue along with DVC

Moose are native to Polynesia. This addition to the Canada pavilion is warranted. Deal with it.

You are all being way too harsh on this. This makes a fine addition to this pavilion.

Just think. People always say we need more EPCOT attractions, especially in World Showcase, and now we have one where we can embarrass snake oil salesmen in front of the potential victims they are trying to peddle their DVC pyramid scheme to and turn them away before it's too late. That sounds like a great immersive adventure and might become the best new EPCOT addition in years.

Do the DVC salespeople all have to be from Canadian exchange program? How do they expect the pleasant and kind-natured Canadian people to transform into aggressive DVC timeshare salespeople pushing to close those contracts???

There is an irony of how EPCOT is becoming a showcase of our current "corporate future" in reality vs. the future the park originally aspired for originally. "It was so corporate" seems to ring even more true today than with all the sponsors. And, this certainly would line up to that.

That was my thought. There are a lot of Canadian food options that could make for a really lovely lounge. And, it could have easily been sponsored by DVC. And I actually would have really applauded that vs. hated what they did here. Given the role of Disney food and social media, especially at Epcot, a couple of "must try" options could have easily put this on the map and made it an "EPCOT Must Do". Les Halles is nearly impossible to find, yet it's a very busy spot.
