It’s only cool if it’s a small component of otherwise competent theming, which is likely not the case here. If that’s more or less all the theming there is, then it comes off as superficial and cynically pandering.
Agreed. If it’s the only piece of theming in there then yeah it’s pandering but the most recent comparisons are the Frontierland lounge and the thing from California adventure and those are both pretty well themed.

Disney Vacation Club has announced what is coming - an in-park Welcome Home Center:

Coming this spring, the first in-park Welcome Home Center at Walt Disney World – Château de Voyage. Located in the Canada pavilion at EPCOT, this new space invites guests to explore Membership and visit a model room of Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Stay tuned for more details!
HOLY CR@P!!!!!! I thought they were adding a lounge?!?!?!?!?

Its a DVC showroom?!?!?!?!?

Folks need to understand, DVC lounges and now DVC showrooms, there are spaces Disney's theme park business leases to DVC. Disney's theme park business MAKES MONEY as the landlord and DVC is the tenant.

The only solution to this nonsense is to stop buying DVC. It is literally that simple. Most of Disney's problems would be solved if we simply stopped giving them money and encouraging their horrible behavior. I went for 2 days early last year, but I've sworn off going back until there's a CEO that I actually trust and like (safe to say I'll probably never go back).
Then they'd build even more sales centers.

Sounds like the solution is to buy so much dvc that they've got nothing left to sell

Wow... when we were last there in 2024, we saw some cast members discussing things. And construction walls, I actually thought maybe something cool was going to happen... what a bummer...

That would only encourage Bob to green-light more DVC construction and conversions.

"Coming soon! The Villas at Port Orleans!"

"DVC is proud to announce... The Beachside Villas at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club!"

"Coming soon - Disney's All-Star DVC Resort!!!"

The existing villas can have their own villas!
They did that at Wilderness Lodge lol

I’m assuming that this means that the DVC booth that is outside the Canada pavilion will be staying? Can’t have too much DVC presence, right?

I'm considering buying a single DVC point for the perks.

I think it would be funniest to buy a Polynesian resale point from a Canadian salesperson in the new showroom. Unless some of you have a funnier option?
