We actually ended up pulling our reservation after seeing the blogger reviews, full menu and pictures of the food. We (and the kids) are happy with fine dining - but mushrooms in almost every dish and some odd combinations seemed...not our speed. I will rebook for our July trip and see if the menu is better.

Other than some of the creative dessert options, it looks like Airport Marriott banquet food.

trying to make reservations for March and there is no availability the entire week I'm there??

This one was going to be a popular one, at least for now.

I think it's kind of nice to have character dining with Snow White, Dopey and Grumpy with the Queen posing for pictures with guests. It's different. I know we're "supposed" to hate they did this but I kind of don't.

Honestly it looks good to me. $55 could be worth it if you like certain items. My issue is I'm not sure there is any way I can justify $33 for a kid. Just not sure between the two prices I can justify going here over something at Disney Springs.

Solid points. I imagine if you like Snow White and the characters, and if the food looks appealing, it's a hit and "worth it". I imagine they go more bland for the food over time. I mean, mushrooms aren't that adventerous. I understand some just not liking them though. We all have our own tastes :)

Pricing is a bit ridiculous at Disney. I've been hearing more and more complaints about how costly everything is and it really is. I mean, $70 for sweaters, $34 for a shirt ... everything's about $20-$30 more than it should be. But, you know "you pay for Disney" I guess ... lol

I must be missing something. I only see three items on the menu with mushrooms (Hunter's Pie, Bashful's Butter-Poached Snapper, and the Vegetarian Steam Bun). Most of the items seem rather safe: Roasted Chicken, Rib Roast, Veal Shank. They even have basic pasta and Chicken Tenders for the kids. But I'm probably missing something. I'll know for more after my May trip. We have reservations . . . and I cannot abide mushrooms.

We just returned from Disney on the 21st and ate at Story Book Dining on the 20th.
We are not foodies but enjoyed our meals. Of the appetizers the squash bisque and the hunter's pie were the favorites (even with the teenagers).
My husband had the Royal Prime Rib that tasted marvelous but was fatty. Not sure if that was to be expected. I had the Brothers Grimm Chicken that was very good and my son had the Walk Through the Forest Pasta, and said it was incredibly good.
The desserts were tasty and the presentation of the "heart" was very cool (pun intended)! The heart actually tasted excellent.
The characters, like anywhere, sort of have to buzz through the room, but took all of the pics we asked for and grumpy signed my husbands hat. He also messed around with him a good bit I think because he was wearing a grumpy shirt.
The Evil Queen played her role well and took a bunch of pics with us also.
People were mostly dressed very casually, I saw a few people dressed up.
We were on the DDP and since it is currently a 1 credit meal, was an excellent use of 1 point.

Guess I don't eat much Prime Rib as I thought my meal on 12/30 was phenomenal. The appetizers were great and the desserts phenomenal as well. The character interaction was much better than any experience I have had before. My wife and I traveled and dined with one of her best friends and her 5 year old daughter was was celebrating a birthday. Snow White danced with her for 2 minutes at one point, and the interaction with the Evil Queen was perhaps one of the best I've ever witnessed.

I'm really happy to read such good reviews of this place. Even though I don't care much for character meals, I'll def check it out next time I'm in WDW!
