Just back from a quick trip to all four WDW parks.
Update includes Expedition Everest, Spectacle of Lights and much more.

Just click the images to view a much larger version.

First the Main Street Train Station Rehab

Main Street Curb Removal.

Max was out on Main Street. I had not seen him in a long time.

Pooh's Playful Spot. Which I actually thought was cute and great for the little kids. Just give it a chance, and remember that it only takes up like 1/40 of the former 20K site.

Next up Expedition: Everest

While at MGM, I went to watch the 2:00 Indy Stunt show. However they were running the show without the first scene so I decided not to stay.

Spectacle of Lights Installation

More work on the New York Skyline backdrop.

Animation Courtyard Arch Rehab

Food and Wine Prep

Construction walls around the Land again.

The Living Seas

Ice Station Cool/Club Cool

And lastly a quick shot of the construction of the new western way, that will connect Buena Vista Drive to the new toll road 429. This photo was taken just south of Coronado Springs.

Nice Pictures. Everest looks even larger. I wonder why Max hasen't been out. Last time I saw him he had a rather large crowd around him. But that was five years ago...

Am I the only one who thinks Epcot looks "weird" without the Igloo?

Well, for someone who has not visited WDW or Epcot or MGM Studios since 1993, I can't even comment. I remember a whole new "world" from the early 1990s that still had traces of the old Figment show, 20k leagues, Ed McMahon's Star Search, animals and birds on Discovery Island, two dark rides called Horizons and World of Motion, and construction walls up where the Tower of Terror and the new street would be. Oh, and I was in the parks the same time the late Princess Di and her two sons, Prince Harry and William, were on "holiday." The parks were all abuzz when they were there and they stayed on the top floor of the Grand Floridian.

Heck, there was no mention of an Animal Kingdom, or as people call it Nohtahzoo. So, no I can't really comment on the Igloo, sorry, lol.

My next trip to WDW? Sometime soon, I hope, in the next calendar year. I'm working on it, believe me, even if it's for a weekend. I can do Disney in a weekend, for sure.

I see the picture of the construction in the Animation Courtyard at MGM, anyone know if this is to remove the "MGM" reference from the sign?

Thanks for the picture update!

A very bad joke amoung my friends was that it was the Inuit pavilion for the world showcase - and beverly was a traditional drink made from seal blubber.

While anything is possible, I am almost certain this is only a rehab of the arch. Many of the structures and signs at the Studios have been being worked on lately. My opinion is that when the walls come down it will still say Disney-MGM Studios.

I certainly hope so.
