No. Its really not that bad. It just an illusion that is common with updates such as mine. While there is a lot of construction going on here and there, it is not everywhere and it is no that annoying. Like many updates all of my photos are of construction so it seems like thats all there was, but in all honesty thats not the way it seems when you are there. Epcot had a lot of walls but that is common this time of year during prep for the food and wine.

How does Main Street look when you walk in? Does the construction kind of "spoil" any Main Street photo ops? I always stress about my photos before I even get there.

Only if you want a photo of the backside of the Train Station. Other than the Train Station and the part of Main Street directly behind the station I did not see a single construction wall in the entire park.

What are the terraces for on the right side of Everest?
I am not positive, however I think that eventualy landscaping will surround them and they will give the illusion that the mountain is wider than it really is.

My 2 year old daughter LOVED Pooh's Playful Spot. For about 15 minutes, she pretended that she was taking honey from outside into Pooh's house.

It was really cute.

Thanks, I was rather perplexed with their purpose, but your thought makes sense.

Cool, thanks. On the first shot it is a little dark. Can you describe what has been done to the upper portion of the station to date? We were there in August and I have attached a photo of what it looked like then. You can see that there is either metal support that is either temporary or they cover it later to make it look right.

Also, we have seen Max in Epcot a few times on the bus. I heard that is gone or going though. Also have seen him in Toontown.

Also, one more thing. Has anyone seen the movie Aliens? The slide in Pooh's Playful Spot reminds me too much of when the queen alien is laying eggs....

In another post I had asked why the blue contruction wall was up on NYStreet in MGM. But duh me, I had forgotten how early they start the set up of the Spectacle Lights. They were delayed by the hurricanes last year and were off sched about 2 weeks. The pics look like they were taken last year when I was there, because it doesnt seem like they should be working on them yet. I've been gone so long! I miss watching the workers string the lights and all that.
I have an amusing story if no one minds me putting it here- One night in early Nov, before the lights had offcially been turned on, I was walking down NYStreet pushing an overflowing rack of dresses from SuperSoapWeekend. The lights were all on though. I was used to them and kept going (those dresses were heavy!), when all of a sudden the lights collectively go out. No big deal to me, but a family had just come around the corner in time to see them for a few minutes. They were dismayed when they hadnt lasted very long. I heard their sighs, then the father comes running up to me "Excuse me, can you turn the lights back on?" I didnt know what to say. I just stared at him as if to ask "Are you serious?" He was! He asked me again and I told him I didnt not have the power to do such a thing. I waited until I was far enough away to burst out laughing. My manager and fellow CMs made it a running joke. Where's that giant light switch when ya need it?

The steel area you are talking about, is the bare steel from the gree canopy. You can't see it well in my picture but some parts have been reinstalled since your photo ws taken.

I can't see any pictures here ... ??? ... just the red x's
Thats weird. Try clicking on the red x's. That might work since the photos in my post are all links to larger versions.

Apart from the fact his name is "Goofy Goof", not "Goofy Goofey". (It seems to be one of those common, stupid mistakes (Honestly, have they watched Goof Troop?) that has stuck. Same with spelling "I2I" "1 2 1" and "Eye 2 Eye")

Thanks for the update! Great pictures, as well. Expedition: Everest looks more amazing than ever. And thanks for all the info about refurbs in Epcot, especially since there's so many going on. 57 days left, and then I'll be able to see all of those construction walls for myself.

My guess is that all of the walls at Epcot except the one at the Living Seas will be down by your trip. Most of the walls are up for Food and Wine prep, and that will be going on while you are there.
