Great pics. I am anxious to get there. 40 days and counting...
Is the LAND closed???
No the Land and everything inside is open. They are working on the landscaping around the exterior.

About The Land, does this mean they're going to move the Soarin' sign back to the side of the walkway, instead of right next to The Land sign. It looks terrible there. It's about THE LAND, not Soarin'...I hope they move it back to where it was when Soarin' opened.

There are no walls up on the side where the Soarin sign was. I think they will most likely leave the sign in front next to the land sign. It was moved there because far too many (dumb) people could not figure out that Soarin was in the Land.

Thanx for the update....I didn't realize all the construction walls up around Epcot. I mean, I knew about them but after seeing pictures it looks like there's a *whole* bunch of them.

I saw them putting up the lights for Spectacle, too.

Geesh. Its seems like they just got done taking everything down not that long ago, and now it's time to put it all back up.

We saw Max last summer hanging out at Blizzard Beach. It was the first time we had ever seen Max and the first time we had ever seen characters at one of the water parks.

Cool. Ive only recently seen max at MK on Townsquare. The only characters Ive seen at BB was Donald and Goofy.

Very good for the little ones, can take a picture without a horrendously long line.

Igloo... I just can't find a way to justify it's place in EPCOT and I am happy it's leaving. Now if only someone can explain to me the existance of the "Traders Post".

E:E... I have never anticipated an attraction opening so much. I am so worried it won't live up to all the self-induced hype. Thus far it looks amazing. I really think it has a chance to put AK at the same level as the other parks.

Construction... Isn't it funny how you always want things to be built or added, but its so unglamorous when it finally happens. We stayed at the Coronado last November and were a tiny (very tiny) bit upset that it had some construction being done. It wasn't even in our line of sight except when we were on the bus or driving, but still you just like to imagine Disney doesn't have to work to do these things, they just appear magically.

Pooh's Playland... I know it isn't what most envisioned as 20K's successor, but it looks so cute, and though I think many characters can be overdone, Pooh simply can never, EVER, be. Plus, theres a ton of room, both at that site and many others, for others to fit their dream attractions.

Goofs... I highly recommend Goof Troop and A Goofy Movie. Only watch An Extremely Goofy Movie if you have nothing better to do, but the others really are worthwhile.

A2GRAFIX... Dear Lord was I ever surprised by your post. Amazingly we were there at the same time. By luck a distant Uncle/Aunt took my sister and I to WDW and we stayed inside the Contemporary. On one occasion we were not allowed on the MonoRail, which was no big deal, but we were told it was specifically because the Princess and her family were onboard. In addition, the CBJ show was delayed over an hour, and we were later told it too was because they were present. What's even funnier though is that WDW is huge in scope, we all know that, but it's still surprising to meet others who share nearly the same memories you do yourself. For some reason WDW memories become so intantly intimate.

Thanks for the photograhic updates - Is it me, or is there just too much in the way of construction being done ? There seems to be miles and miles of construction walls everywhere you look and that spoils the parks

Am I the only one who thinks Epcot looks "weird" without the Igloo?

I have to agree with you on this one, the only thing being is I guess it served more of a purpose there when they were actually able to have ice and snow inside the tunnel.. You know, back in the day before people forgot how to walk on it normally without falling all over the place...

I typically see Max in Toon Town right in front of Goofy's Barnstormer. He has been ther just about everytime I have been through.

Thank for the great pics.

No. Its really not that bad. It just an illusion that is common with updates such as mine. While there is a lot of construction going on here and there, it is not everywhere and it is no that annoying. Like many updates all of my photos are of construction so it seems like thats all there was, but in all honesty thats not the way it seems when you are there. Epcot had a lot of walls but that is common this time of year during prep for the food and wine.
