I agree...especially when there is room to have both...

Disney really needs to significantly expand capacity in all of the WDW parks.

Disney is seemingly completely unwilling to significantly expand capacity in any of its WDW parks.

Other than Rat, which rumored upcoming attractions are going to be entirely new rather than replacing existing rides?

As to putting Mickey in GMR... do we even have any rumors about what they intend to put in the hulking shell of the animation tour?

I would agree with you but am afraid of the current management's ability to do something fitting for this spot... Let's not forget Project Kaleidoscope...How horrible and wrong that looks!

I agree I would be worried about what they would do new but I have some hope that maybe they are getting it with the paint on Carousel Avatar and even the look of NFL maybe they can do it... Then we have the new hub project which looks good for what it is but looks horrible to the original look.

So since this space is not used for anything other then pictures and walk way I am hoping they will make it look great again as there is no reason not to.

If they get whoever is doing Tomorrowland right now. It might be really good.

Well @brb1006 congrats because you did just that. I mean Look at all the trees so much shade. Does Disney have any idea how beneficial this would be right now with today's whether.

The trees were extra special at night since they used to sparkle

Unfortunately, their version of "Something New" was nothing plus some added rock texture... The Tombstones can move to the walkway from the bus loop to the entrance where everyone can still view them without blocking the main entry court.
I would love to see something epic and new to match the scale of the Sphere and courtyard, but I don't trust that they know how to design that way anymore...So I will continue to hope for the return of the Prisms...Which were beautiful.
Not to mention how better the Prisms are at night. The current fountain doesn't hold a candle compared to the original.

I went to Disneyland for the first time two years ago. I still distinctly remember my favorite part of the trip. Sitting on a bench under the beautiful blossom trees in the hub area at night after the fireworks with some popcorn and a coke. Just magical and worth ticketprice alone. Some days I don't want to do all the rides and stuff, but just sit on a bench and enjoy the atmosphere. Its such a shame you just can't get that anymore at wdw. So happy I'm going back to disneyland to experience it again. Is there any hope some benches are returning? Or is that just not done anymore? :(

They've been gone so long I can't imagine it was a temporary move. Their goal is clearly to squeeze as many people into that hub as possible. Maybe benches just didn't work with that goal.

And I'm with you on the trees and benches at DL. They make for such a wonderful atmosphere.

So how is the Skipper Canteen? I hardly hear anything about it. We had reservations there but ate at BOG for breakfast and wasn't hungry.
Never got in, they were at capacity. That was a bummer. I wasn't planning on going to wee until the day before. I got the opportunity for a free pass so that made my decision easy. I really wanted to try that too.
