screamscape anounces rumor of 50 ft yetti. I thought it was pretty cool and interesting. Does anyone have anything to add to this

Screamscape is always a fun read but often inaccurate.

However, if this is true then EE is sounding more and more like a the final incarnation of the old Fire Mountain Ride, wasn't it suppose to have a Giant Dragon at one time that would have been the largest Animatronic, plus it was going to be a new type of coaster, and incorporate a mountain as well.

What was that about?

You asked and he added!

Yes spiderman, i agree, it does sound very familiar, although personally, i think they would have a lot more scope with a dragon than a yeti, but looks like a yeti it is.

Whoa there fella, easy with the rude sarcasm! Spider-man added something perfectly reasonable and interesting, as you had asked people to do, and then you come out with something like that? Come on, ease up on the tone of your posts.

Me thinks an apology is in order for Spidey.

Spidey, I also agree it does seem to look like an evolution of Fire Mountain, maybe we can set the 50ft Yeti on mickeysv? :D

hey slinky dog i think you know exactly where you can place that 50ft yeti.

the reason why I normally don't post here as you can see, but often read the posts is because you people state the obvious as if you really think you have an in on something. Really I think everyone here by now knows that screamscape is a rumor site and is not meant to be taken literally.

2nd thing: beastly not fire mountain was suppose to have the worlds largest animatronic.

and as far as apologies go. I don't give apologies for someone elses stupidity. All I can say is that I am sorry for your predicament.

Yes, I've seen your posts from the past and understand how you feel about that. However, I stated nothing as fact, I made an observation based on the History of Fire Mountain. I was merely trying to share your enthusiasm about the proposed Animatronic to be used in EE. It seems your focus is on something deeper though. Did you in fact want to discuss the Yeti or where you just looking to attack people who wanted to discuss the Yeti with you?

As far as Beastly not Fire Mountain???? You knew what I meant, so what's the big deal... EE was code named Forbidden Mountain for a time as well, and Fire Mountain was even proposed for a Mt. Fuji project and a Villians Mountain idea also. And I will say that all that is speculative, I have no inside source other than what I read and gather, just like the information you posted here for discussion. Don't assume so much, we all share a love for Disney, and if you want to talk Disney, then talk Disney, don't be hateful and rude with a thread topic you started.

Yep, so long.

Looks like someone got out of the wrong side of the bed today.

Had to bite my lip there, spidey handled it much better than I could have, although I'm still trying to work out the predicament I'm supposed to be in:lol: , ah well, never mind

Back to happy thoughts about EE.:)

It will be interesting to see what happens when Universal Studios opens The Mummy just a year or two before Expedition Everest finally opens. A 50ft animatronic yeti however is quite large I can remeber the King Kong animatronics were only 30 ft and still quite convincing, I can see it now the yeti taking over all the billboards that Kong once claimed.

Wow! that really does put the size in perspective... Kong Seemed Huge. If 50 foot is the head to foot measurement, then just think about him raising his arms, he will have a big range of possible motion.

If this is even true...I woudl be more convinced if this was the attraction with the free walking animatronic. And thanks for drop kicking that moron off the boards.

That would be cool if they would be using the walking animatronic technology they have created. They have always referred to the prototype as a "walking dinosaur", but if they wanted they could modify that.

I never envisioned a Yeti being 50ft, but then again, no one has ever seen a real one

If it does or doesn't turn out to be 50ft, how much time do you think the coaster will stay around the creature? Will the coaster stop and let us see him or will it circle around him without stopping?

I think it would be neat to see one or two smaller Yeti along the way (which could be babies :) ) and then see the 50 ft one, which would make it a bigger surprise.

You make two great points...

Is a 50 foot Yeti believeable?

And as far as the time spent with him, I could see this being a switchtrack section of the ride. Perhaps you stop in front of the Yeti, he supposedly picks you up, and then throws you backwards out of the mountain. All the while you are actually on a track moving to another section for the backward portion of the ride. Potentially reasonable I think.

A 50ft. yeti would be something to see. However, I have to agree that a 50 ft yeti doesn't seem as believable as say a 8-10ft. yeti.

Also, wouldn't that make the yeti as tall as about 1/4 of the whole mountain? How does he get in and out (from a story perspective). Hmmm, maybe I am over analyzing this thing.

I gotta say, this whole 50 ft Yeti thing is news to me.
In all the info I've been able to get hold of, nothing ever suggested anything like that.
Yeah, it does sound like "Dragon's Tower" or "Dare the Dragon", whatever it was going to be called in BK. But it works for a dragon.

Let's sit back and watch this. It feels a little off.
Never know though....

There is no way this thing is going to be 50 ft high. It just wouldn't work to have something that massive in a 200ft mountain. I would rather the thing be smaller, have tons of movements, and be truly convincing.
