Hi everyone! I am taking my best friend, 25f, who has never been before on May 10-14th. We are going to do all 4 parks of course, and all 3 night shows and cirque. I know it is impossible to do each and every ride/show, so these are the rides I have chosen for us to miss if we run out of time, tell me if you think any of these are something a first timer MUST see!

Some of the things you picked often have short short short lines. What are you friend's tastes? Does she like "thrill" rides? Primevil Whirl is one of the more thrilling coasters IMO because it jerks you around a lot. Maybe thrilling isn't the word, but i have a lot of fun and it's short.

Star Tours often has a short line and is kind of a classic.

You're going during a time that is not too busy. I went during that time two years ago and was able to walk on most things. If you buckle down and get to the parks early/stay later, you COULD do everything. Some of the stuff you cut out are my favs (like Hall of Presidents... i really don't know why)... do you have park hopper tickets? You could do everything at AK in half a day if you arrive at opening, then maybe hop someplace else? Whatever you do, I'm sure your friend will have a great time!!!

On our previous off property trips, we got 4 day parkhoppers to WDW, in addition to Sea World, etc. We set a day aside for each park and, on our Animal Kingdom day and our MGM day, we had time to parkhop back to the other parks. I don't know what your energy level is, but I like to go from open to close. Doing it that way, you shouldn't have too much trouble doing everything.

yea if you are an open to close type of person you should bee able to ride everything you want but miss some shows. just make sure you see the best ones like lion king nemo beaty and the beast.

I would miss the Tiki room (because the renovations stink), Aladdins Carpet ride, Hall of presidents, stitches great escape, sounds dangerous, and a bunch more at AK.

I wouldn't miss imagination though <3 (i know I am a little biast)...

It's really hard to determine what your friend should miss because we're all a little biased. When I took my friends to AK for the first time, I never expected to do the trails, but they wanted to and so we did.

My suggestion is instead of deciding what you should miss yourself, you should show your friend a list of the attractions and descriptions (either here at wdwmagic, all ears, whatever), and let her decide what she's interested in seeing. Just wing it. I'm sure you can get a lot done in the time you're going (a seemingly non-busy time) and if you're dedicating one day per park. Take your time and let her enjoy the parks her way :D

Have a great trip :sohappy:

Must agree with DDuckFan, you're better off planning a must do list (Soarin', Safari, ToT, PotC, closing shows). Let your friend decide what appeals most and then wing it the rest of the way. I'd also recommend working the fastpasses so you skip the longest lines, save some time without having to rush around too much. Have fun.

I have done four parks in one day a few times hahaha.

If your going to try to see as much as you can just get fast pass on the rides you really want to get on, then the other rides if you happen to get to it when it is slow jump on it. If a ride is too busy skip it and get to your next one.

Maybe you will be the lucky ones picked for the day long fast pass.

Goodluck and have a great time.

Buy The Book....

if you buy and follow the plans in the UNOFFICIAL GUIDE TO WDW by Bob Seliger you should see 90% of WDW in four days.. But you must get to the park EARLY each day and stay until close. on our last trip we did 4 parks in THREE DAYS with park hoppers. but you can see all four parks in 4 days. Epcot is the hardest to see it all. but it can be done. call the park each and every day and find out what time the park opens. if they say 9am you must be in the park at 8am inside the gates. this is a must. and then after seeing the major rides first, you can pick your way through the park without waiting in lines. this can be done..

I too would rather see a must do list. Here's what we always make sure to do now.
MK: POTC, HM, Small World, Pooh, Buzz, and at least 1 mountain. Also if time permits, Jungle Cruise, TTA, visit Mickey in the Judge's Tent and a ride on the train. If Monster's is open definately do it. AND WIshes is not to be missed.

EPCOT: Soarin', Mission Space &/or Test Track, Imagination, Spaceship Earth and I would stop in to see the new Living Seas. You should also at least do a walk though all the countries and stop in to see a few shows.

MGM: ToT, RnRc, Great Movie Ride, Muppets And Fantasmic. Star Tours is a little outdated, but worth it if you're even a little bit of a fan. Indiana Jones and Beauty and the Beast are great shows if you have the time.

AK: Everest, Rapids, Safari, the new Nemo Show, Lion King Show. I'm not a fan of Tough to be a Bug or Dinosaur, but most people are. I've also never done Primevil Whril, DH doesn't do things that spin, but it looks interesting.

Hope this helps.

The one on your list I would try to do is Winnie the Pooh. I would also include Prime-Evil Whirl and Star Tours, but they can induce motion sickness so if that is a concern for you or your friend you could skip them.
