We are taking my 3 1/2 year old for the first time to Disney in late April, early May! Which ride do you suggest for her very first ride ever at Disney World?? We are arriving at 9:30 at MCO and are hoping to be at the parks by noon. Not sure how well she will handle lines. She is VERY adventurous, and already asks to watch the "ghost ride" (Haunted Mansion and PoTC) videos on youtube all the time!

forgot to mention that the Magic Kingdom will DEFIENTLY be the first park! (we are gonna hit Epcot after the MK this night for dinner and RoE!)

SO I guess depending on the wait time, we may not be able to do Dumbo as her first! If it's too long, Small World here we come! haha! Thank you to everyone again! 84 days!!!!

Peter Pan. Just pure classic, and the part over the city is mesmerizing for a child. Plus, no one really LIKES Dumbo (the ride). Just kidding, I know people do. I don't.

Didn't see this mentioned, but why not ask the child what ride she wants to go on first?

 That's pretty much what happened in my post; we'd planned on steering her towards Peter Pan (she loves the movie and was Captain Hook for Halloween) but she saw the carousel and chose that instead.

You just don't want to run the risk of her choosing, say, Snow White or Pirates first thing and end up being too scared to try anything else. As it was, my daughter loved both of those, but every kid's different, and you never know how it's going to go until it's too late
