Probably a city boy too.

Whats wrong with living in a city?

I didnt know the waterways were connected to the outside, if they werent then it wouldnt be a problem at all to keep them out. As long as you get them all out then fence in the area properly, then they cant get in. But as someone pointed out the run off and what not are all connected so its not possible.

How funny...we saw the same little guy in the same exact spot yesterday! We were headed out for the day and walking down that bridge when I spotted people smoking and looking over and pointing. And there he was! We snapped a few photos of him.

Funny that he stays right there. But isn't there a turkey leg place right near there too?

LOL. Why is it that someone who lives in a city seems to think that a fence can solve all the animal problems. I've seen 8 foot fences along the highways to go on for miles and those deer still seem to find a way to get hit.

I've witnessed a deer jumping over an 8 foot fence. It was amazing. He cleared it by atleast 2 feet. I never knew they could jump like that. If was truly spectacular to watch.

Growing up and living in New Orleans Suburbs you can call me a city boy but at the same time I would say outside of Florida we have the most gators in the US so I know a little something about them too and I have never heard of gators or crocs jumping an 8 foot fence. It's possible to build a proper fence to keep un wanted animals out. The biggest problem would be to make sure you get them all out once you build the fence and that could take a while so it's probably not worth it.

On my way to work a few weeks ago there were deer "trapped" in the center median trying to decide which way to go. After I passed, they decided to try and cross on my side of the road. I look in my rearview mirror and see one almost clear a car! Its back legs caught on the side of the car, did a 360 and landed in the grass on the other side, and looked like it got right back up and ran off into the woods. Crazy.

Yea right. lmao

We were at WDW this past weekend and saw the new MK attraction. We saw him swimming on Saturday and on Sunday he was hanging around the smoking area.

Over the years we have seen Gators in 3 of the 4 parks, at many of the hotels, and many of the waterways/canal around the property. Also many Armadillos, Deer, Turkey, Snakes, Fox, Opposum, and even a Otter.

I've never seen the alligator, but if I recall from all the time I spent there in my smoking days there was always a lot of ducks in the area. For those of you who have seen the gator recently, are there still a bunch of ducks hanging around?

Not on my recent visit from 11/25-12/4. Didn't see as many ducks hanging around Riverside either. Coincidence that a few more restaurants are now offering duck ? :ROFLOL:

Either that or it's a feathered buffet for our three legged friend!

Well, he was looking bigger than when I saw him in Sept/Oct. Maybe he's really some super secret next generation of animatronics being controled by a CM with the remote in a backpack like PUSH the roaming trash can !!

You may be more right than you know. :lookaroun :D

A bit of useless trivia: Florida is having problems with invasive Muscovy duck populations displacing native species. The upshot is that the Muscovy meat is tasty!
