ORLANDO -- The Polk County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged 28 men with soliciting ______ from a minor after a weeklong undercover sting.

Of those arrested, three men told authorities they were Disney employees, according to a sheriff's office report.

``We take allegations of this nature seriously,'' Disney spokeswoman Zoraya Suarez said in an e-mail. ``When we receive confirmation of these allegations, we will take appropriate action.''

Sheriff's office spokeswoman Donna Wood said a number of agencies worked together to set up the sting at a Polk County home where the suspects were arrested.

``Using undercover officers, the suspects chatted online with (people) whom they believed to be boy and girls, ages 13 and 14,'' Wood said.

Three men arrested in the sting told authorities they were Disney employees: Julio Segundo, 21, of Orlando; Richard Gaugh, 55, of Ormond Beach; and Thierry Ferron, 43, of Winter Garden. All three have been charged with soliciting a minor via the Internet and attempted lewd battery.

Ferron also was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and receiving computer statements for the purpose of sexual conduct with a child, according to the report.

Gaugh remained in jail on a $100,000 bond. Segundo and Ferron were each being held on a $60,000 bond. It was not known if any of the men had attorneys.

It is great that they got them off the street and stopped any child from being further abused by these men.
Also considering the number of employees that Disney hires, it is amazing that there were only 3 out of the 28 worked for Disney. That number could have been way higher.

Unless people have prior criminal history, its nearly impossible to tell who is and is not a sexual predator. Disney does the best they can but some people will still slip past their screening process. I'm glad to hear that authorities got these guys though.

just curious if they released the employment locations of the other men. Also, did they say what vocation they worked for Disney? (lawn care, bus driver, cook, etc)

be careful who your children hug... ewww.

Well, to be fair, that's good advice no matter where your kids are. But regardless, just because these 3 arrested people might be Disney employees doesn't mean they'd be in a position to interact with your kids at all, let alone be a cast member who wears a costume. Could be nighttime cleanup crews, could be maintenance, could be landscaping, etc. Personally, I'm not even thinking about this being a Disney thing. I just hope (though I'm sure it's a naive hope) that none of the 28 people arrested have ever successfully harmed a child before, and won't ever try again.

OUT OF ALL THE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE EMPLOYED BY DISNEY 3 IS NOT BAD. I JUST HOPE NONE WERE IN CONTACT WITH THE PUBLIC. ie. (TIGGER) JUST KIDDING. IT'S A SHAME THAT THEY DON'T SAY WHERE ANYONE ELSE WORKED. TRYING TO MAKE DISNEY LOOK BAD????????

I'll betcha Tigger was behind the whole thing!:p

Seriously though, I have no tolerance for people like this and I'm glad they were caught. Hopefully they were caught before they were actually able to do anything.

I saw this on Local 6 this morning in Orlando. One of the people was an employee of Local 6, so they made sure they reported it.

When they showed the names and photos this morning, I did find it ironic that one of the men was named "Michael Jackson." :lookaroun

They have already done a Central Fla show.. it was on last month or the month before.

I found the show to be in very bad taste! Not because of the content, glad they get these guys off the streets, but because they make a business/ratings deal out of it. I know I will be harpooned for this, but I don't think showing this stuff on TV is needed. Same as showing the death penalty on TV.

not to be too picky but...

Don't you think we should perhaps wait until they are convicted before denouncing them. There is that whole annoying innocent until proven guilty thing that we need to pay attention to. I am certainly not in any way shape or form supporting child molesters or pervs but there is a vast difference between being charged and being guilty, a fact that seems to be getting overlooked.

If this is anything like the 20/20 stings, they are guilty. Sounds like it is. You just dont show up at a secluded address after talking smut on the internet to chat and drink koolaide.
