So I designed a little map for a Spongebob themed revamp.
Here are the details I had in mind:
  • Conch street serves as facade for big E-Ticket dark ride
  • In front are Krusty Krab and Chum Bucket next to each other as functional restaurants
  • Little grey bit in bottom left is a big Nick gift shop/ meet and greet
  • Blue thing above it is the fancy boat restaurant from the chocolate episode as a big classy restaurant
  • Green spot on top is a jellyfish fields flat ride
  • Grey thing is a Goofy Goobers restaurant
  • Above it is a Glove World subland with:
  • Small ferris wheel
  • Swing ride
  • Fiery Fist O Pain as a big intense roller coaster

BRetheme/Revamp Lost Continent at IOA

For today, we are gonna work together to come up with ideas to retheme the Lost Continent in Islands of Adventure!! Sinbad is closed, Poseidon is woefully out of date in many ways, and Mythos is no longer the best restaurant on property (I'm typing this from Toothsomes Chocolate Emporium lol). So, let's either retheme or revamp Lost Continent!
Lost Continent is a very interesting land to me as it was at one time something really high tech and unique. So I'm thinking a revamped Lost Continent should be just as unique if not more. That's why I propose a land I don't think any other park has (or as far as I am aware)
A land based off of (drumroll noise here)....
The desert, specifically Ancient Egypt
Think about it, have you seen a land based off of Egypt? While I can think of some rides that have egyptian locations or themes, I can't think of a whole land that is based off of Egypt.
Now you can have some cool Egypt themed rides and shows worthy of succeeding the ones in Lost Continent. How cool would it be to venture through mysterious pyramids, see egyptian gods, maybe move or make a sequel to the mummy rollercoaster here. Lots of possibilities.

This would be a dream come true. But, on the topic of LC, maybe include more mythologies than just Greek?

Alright, time for the next prompt;

Last time, we discussed The Lost Continent. While one user more or less won the discussion by adding just the right amount of content, a lot of IOA turned out to be dated, and so we also did some more tweaks on top of that, mainly to Toon Lagoon. I even came to Lost Continent’s defense when someone considered merging it into TL due to its original content. It also served as an answer to my bonus prompt a while back.

Today’s challenge is to create a new photo op or instagram wall for any theme park; from Knott’s to Seaworld Orlando. I want to see some real creative suggestions, and bonus points for not doing Disney or Universal.

As a bonus, I would suggest a trackless dark ride for Pandora, telling the events of the original film, as enacted by various Na’vi and their craftsmanship.

Thank you so much for posting today! With just getting back from vacation it completely slipped my mind lol

I'd love a cute penguin photo op outside the Antartica Ride at Seaworld Orlando! Their Penguin exhibit is incredibly well themed, it could lend itself well to some playful photo ops

I’ll be watching TROS in 24 hour’s time so I imagine I will have a different opinion then. But as it stands now, I think GE should expand to different planets. Tatooine, as cliche as it is, is a landmark area that could be home to a cantina, pod race, and jabba’s palace. It is also distinct from Batuu. So a mini land there would be my pick.

Make Galaxy's Edge even Stronger in the Force

For today, we are gonna work together to come up with ways to make Galaxy's Edge even better! A third attraction? A new dining experience? Jawa themed dance party? It's up to you!
Three words: Star Wars Rollercoaster
Maybe take queues from Hyperspace Mountain for inspiration, but also not make it a direct clone of Space Mountain. Have some cool physical effects here and there, like lasers, animatronics, props, etc. would be really cool. Your car would go face to face with a "real" tie fighter!
I'm not sure what else cause im not huge into star wars

The best “attraction” to add, in my opinion, would be streetmosphere. Have roving droids, aliens, etc. walking around.

How cool would it be to be walking by Oga’s Cantina and bump into an Ithorian or Mon Calamari just hanging out, or encounter a roaming astromech or better, a GONK!

I also think, since Black Spire Outpost is in the Outer Rim, it’d make sense to have a table service restaurant themed to a Hutt’s palace, or perhaps something akin to Maz Kanata’s castle. Just a fully themed restaurant with animatronics and characters hanging about.

Finally, a game like Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure would be super cool where you can play as a Bounty Hunter and track down a target, whether it be a cast member, droid, or even an item, that you then log on your datapad and collect credits. I know there are similar things, but with the Mandalorian being as popular as it is, I’d think getting to play as a bounty hunter in the land would be super cool

Two or three campaigns; Resistance, First Order, and Hutts, would work.

I've always been a Clone Wars era fan, so I would love a PT themed Galaxy's Edge. A while back I was planning on a post for a theoretical land in Paris Studios. I made a map. Although not all the ideas are fully thought out.

DisneylandParis.png

The land would be set in the midst of the Clone Wars, on the planet Rugosa. The Republic has set up a fortified defense post, but the remnants of the Separatist army appears every now and again. There are a few attractions:
  • Clone Army boat ride around the alien wildlife, encountering a Separatist scouting party along the way.
  • Republic Gunship spinning ride.
  • Yoda Interactive Puppet Show, set in the caves, similar to Turtle Talk but with a real puppet. With guest star Baby Yoda.
  • On the Venator, a walkthrough of the famous starship Resolute, ending with a mess hall eating area.
  • Also on the Venator, an e-ticket themed to the invasion of Rugosa, inspired by the Clone Wars episode Landing on Point Rain. In essence, three Jedi - Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Windu - each land different battalions on different areas of the planet, and plan to meet the rendezvous point. Each pathway shows a different story.
    • Anakin's team plans for a "shortcut" through the caves, but they are walking into a trap! Ventress appears with elite Commando Droids, leading the Clones to turn on their flamethrowers to extinguish the enemy. Anakin pulls down some rocks to stop Ventress's pursuit, reaching the rendezvous.
    • Obi-Wan's team plans an attack on a Separatist factory, but they are walking into a trap! General Grievous attempts to corner them, but we evade his pursuit on the assembly line and escape the factory, reaching the rendezvous.
    • Windu's team heads through the forest where he runs right into two Separatist tanks and Count Dooku! Windu holds them off long enough for us to evade the attack and reaching the rendezvous.
    • This all ends with everyone at the rendezvous battling it out with the bulk of the Droid Army. Anakin fights Ventress, Obi-Wan fights Grevious, and Windu fights Dooku. We manage to take down the droids and force a Separatist retreat from the area - Rugosa has been liberated by the Republic!

Not making Galaxy’s Edge be set on the planet would be a start. Star Wars has an expansive lore and for WDI to copy and paste the same planet, the same attractions, and the same everything is disappointing.

A dinosaur-filled mini-land? Bringing back some of the “Jules Verne” elements of Discoveryland to please old fans and bring a new twist to “Dinosaur” and the other attractions present.

“Dinosaur: Countdown to Extinction” is based on “The Time Machine” by H.G. Wells, where your Time Rover is designed to discover our past and future. There will also be a Ducktales ride.

A new film based on a theme park ride!

For today, we are gonna work together to come up with ideas for new potential film franchises based on theme park rides! Is Disney looking for their next Pirates? Is Busch Gardens gonna try to compete with Jungle Cruise?

Knott’s Presents:

Jaguar!

A routine tour of a restored pyramid at a cultural museum turns into an expedition as a hidden room is discovered, containing the remains of a giant jaguar and the chronicles of her exploits. Accidentally ingesting dust from the expedition, our protagonist ends up turning into a giant werebeast herself, and turning the entire expedition upside-down, as the ghost of a thief manages to possess the leader, and even the expedition vehicle!
