That, and the fiscal year starts again October 1.Terrible news. I assume that's why Disney is burying it by releasing it just hours before tonight's presidential debate.

28,000 should be good for another round of stock buybacks.
This was coming before Disneylands closure became so protracted. Mentioning it in public is just another thinly veiled swipe.Maybe disney should think about packing up Disneyland and their headquarters and moving out of Cali
Seems like terrible news usually happens at the end of the stock market close at 4pm EDT. Could be a rough day in the stock market tomorrow or maybe investors applaud the news of the company restructuring to include layoffs. It's a sad day, period.Terrible news. I assume that's why Disney is burying it by releasing it just hours before tonight's presidential debate.
Is the lay offs people on furlough already or those already working as well? This was coming before Disneylands closure became so protracted. Mentioning it in public is just another thinly veiled swipe.

It is...for those people. The news is devastating.
Gavin is still to blame. This was coming before Disneylands closure became so protracted. Mentioning it in public is just another thinly veiled swipe.
The ones that survive the layoff will probably have more responsibilities but are lucky to still be employed.I’m not surprised, but my heart breaks for all those cast members
I would assume all around. Is this expected to hurt Disneyland more due to them not being open at all? Or is this gonna affect both domestic sites pretty evenly?
Based on the ratio of employees I would suspect WDW will be hardest hit.Is this expected to hurt Disneyland more due to them not being open at all? Or is this gonna affect both domestic sites pretty evenly?
