If Atlantis tanked at the box office why did they make a sequel even if it went straight to video and dvd

BTW i think that villian mountian will be built after everest is finished then in a few years after that opens when they need a new e-ticket for the other side of the park Fire Montain will be built but that isn't going to be until at least 2010

The DVD (from my understanding) was footage that was going to be used in a weekly TV show (Team Atlantis or something) that was going to be produced, until the movie tanked. Again, I liked the movie.
For me I would like to see Mysterious Island from TDS.

There is no number at WDW to call to ask about something like Villian Mountain or Fire Mountain. They will just say that they have no information about such a ride at this time. It's pretty standard for a ride that hasn't been announced.

You can e-mail an imagineer if you want, but unless you know him or her, it's unlikely that they will share any big secrets with you.

What I do know is that at this point, no major e-ticket is greenlit for the MK. Certainly nothing of "Mtn." magnitude. Give it a few years.

Didn't think so, but I can still dream of seeing a smoking volcano sitting inbetween TL & FL.

I know everyone talks about this mountain and that mountain hopefully being built, but how many mountains can WDW have? I think the idea of coasters or big rides being soley in mountains is going to get old if they're all built...they need a new theme, something other than just a mountain for these rides. If anyone agrees or disagrees, i'm open to suggestions.

Fire Mountain sounds nice... but I really <3 the idea of a whole new land themed to Villains... I think that woud be the better addition... but a volano would be nice too. I actually think they should change the names of both mountains... I don't really like either names:(

That's a very good point, never thought of it before. I guess that so many unbuilt attractions we hear about are mountains.
For the record, DLR has Splash, Space, Materhorn, Big Thunder & Grizzly Peak. And they are much smaller then WDW.

It's not easy to hide a roller coaster.
A mountain is about the only thing you can do.

Just be glad that the Mtn.s are as well themed as they are. There are plenty of ugly ones at other parks.

Amen to that! I heard that EPCOT may not be so lucky between the Land and the Living Seas. Check it out, Lee, I believe the idea has resurfaced. :lookaroun

Please share. Not nice to talk in code. Very frustrating.
Is this the Rocket Rods rumor or the Rain Forrest Rumor?

who knows what on earth they're building there? I would terminally dislike a musical theatre thing. Toontown seems to me to be the best bet.

perhaps they'll do some kind of sea theme? Little Mermaid? they have all that beautiful undersea paraphinelia in there, I'd think they'd want to reuse it.

you have to wonder what all that stuff in there looks like now... I'd bet it's uber-creepy. :D
