Thanks, haha! This is the first I've gone to F&W in a long time after a decade or so of just getting F&G, so to say I'm excited would be an understatement.
No problem! We're kind of in a similar spot in that we haven't done F&W since 2019, and did F&G on our last trip in 2022 where we felt the food and drink options were a little underwhelming. Excited to be going back at the same time F&W is on this year!

For anyone wondering why Festivals over the summer are canceled. Those fans guest hear don’t cool down the Kiosk. Our cast members stand for 8 hour shifts in 135 degree plus heat. Both Safety and Florida Department of Health made the decision to shorten the festivals to “cooler” months due to that factor.

For those who don’t know the festivals team has the highest safety report on property, and no they aren’t knife cuts. Heat exhaustion is real and “alphas” having to call Reedy Creek every time a cast member has a heat related illness is no joke. Last year alone of a cast of 400 we had over 127 heat related alphas and those weren’t guest. Those numbers are much higher.

I think there’s just enough “new” menu items to keep interesting, along with some favorites that are still there.

Some things will never try again (looking at you pickle milkshake)

We are a regular at F&W, and looking forward to November trip.

Wow! Fascinating info and makes perfect sense.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the space. I'm curious if the half for seating looks like it does now -- tables and chairs for guests to eat, take a break etc. - or if it looks like seating for demonstrations? They have not, as yet, advertised any demos or opened up any reservations. I wonder if they'll return to early festival days with free demos by Disney culinary personnel that is first-come, first-served?

Yes half of it is currently as it was - tables and chairs. The other half look like it is being setup with racks for merch.

I worked F&B at Food & Wine. Yeah, it really sucks. We’d run out of water semi-often and basically weren’t allowed to run backstage to the actual breakrooms/cast services for our breaks. 😂

Agree. Can’t believe how hot it gets in front of the kiosks and a few have no umbrellas or shade. Seems like an easy fix
