With both parks littered with permanent Pixar attractions and shows, what exactly does "Pixar Fest" offer that incentivizes a visit to Disneyland now more than any other reason?
Is it just food? If so, then why not a larger Food and Wine Festival? Why does junk food need IP too?
Disneyland makes a big deal of Halloween and Christmas and then struggles the rest of the year to come up with dubious promotions that probably do nothing to boost attendance. I don't know why they bother, other than to give the events team something to do. At least for other holidays like Valentines, Easter and 4th of July, it would make a little more sense.
We've had almost 20 years of "Year of a Million Dreams" type "celebrations" that clutter the parks with junk and add little to no value to the overall experience. How about a year where we just let Disneyland be Disneyland for once?
