2017 military discounts for Disney World are being released today as well.

Typical exclisions apply (Little Mermaid rooms, campsites, and certain villas), and blockout dates are 4/9-4/23. All other dates are eligible, just subject to availability.

And rumor has it that along with the 4 day military salute ticket, a 5 day option will be released as well (we have not verified that yet- will update as more information becomes available)

This is a room percentage discount, tiered based on the resort level, and you may add a dining plan as well.

Eligibility (copied directly from Disney):

"Eligibility
To book this offer, you must be an active or retired member of the U.S. Military, including the National Guard, Reservists and the U.S. Coast Guard. Effective as of January 3, 2016, active or retired members of the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS) and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are also eligible for this offer. Spouses of Military Service Members and PHS and NOAA Commissioned Corps members also qualify if they are able to present valid and active U.S. Military IDs in the absence of the Military Personnel or Commissioned Corps members. @sissa216 I went home and told DH this on a Friday, we had a football game to attend so we put it out of our minds and then we woke up yesterday, which happened to be the beloved 45th anniversary of the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!!! DH was watching all these videos about the 45th and Disney in general, which I've come to love, too....an hour later, we were in the kitchen and I kept talking "why I needed to go back" and he started laughing so hard he couldn't take any more sips of his water. THE SEED HAS BEEN PLANTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Every year, we go with his parents (the military vet who's discount they'd use) (who didn't come in 2015 because they had his and his sister's weddings to pay for) and we called his mom and basically....started begging them to come. No shame there! She got excited and her husband (DH's father) is very excited. DH's dad has Parkinson's from Vietnam, so he can't help his wife drive down there and struggles a bit walking through crowds but being there means a whole lot to them so we are hoping it all comes together.

The in-laws wanted to go for their anniversary in Feb 2107, but they don't fly and it's hard to see her making that drive from Vermont twice as the solo driver. We told them about the Bounce-back offer. We shall see. We'll know a LOT more if it's official for any and all of us come January.

Sorry if I was supposed to put this in trip planning, I just got excited! :D:p:cool::rolleyes::geek::jawdrop::joyfull:

Also, the 5 day ticket option is exciting for them!
