Same criticism applies, On a organization annual report of anything you simply DO NOT make this kind of mistake, It tends to be a 'career limiting move'. And if at your shop you have interns working unsupervised and unchecked like this please tell us your company so we can avoid your products and services.

So the Intern graphics & page assembly person will be written up or fired. The Editor will get written up, demoted, or fired. The top brass at the TEA, as all top brass do, sign off on the reports relying on the assurances of their underlings who assemble it and say everything is correct.
This is not a company financial report to be filed with the SEC... so no one will go to jail for SARBOX non-compliance.

Hey now, someone just lost a $100 dollar to charity bet from a couple years ago. I don't remember who but a poster here needs to pay up.

The Universal parks in Florida will not be outdrawing any park at WDW anytime soon.

Jimmy Thick-Easy win for me.

Since you work for Universal now I would think you would be a little more positive about this sort of thing.

You can take a bus. Entrance to the museum is free.
Yes you can go to the trouble of taking a bus.... but you are aware of how remote this museum's location is in the Dulles area?
If there was major shopping, other museums, or attractions next door (similar to all of Downtown DC)...then this wouldn't be an issue.

Looks like @RSoxNo1 owes $100 to Give Kids the World.

Put your money where your mouth is. $100 to Give Kids the World that a Universal park passes a Disney park in attendance by the first full year of Potter phase 2 on the TEA reports.

I grew up in Sterling, Va. I'm well aware of where the Museum is located.

What SHOULD happen is the executive who approved this package should be written up or fired as this was a simple error until it was published and that was not the page assembly or graphics person because no one can tell me that decision to use that art was made at such a low level for an important annual publication.

Given the rate of Universal's increase compared to the lack of such at DHS, and the fact that they're pretty much neck and neck right now, I'd say it would be very surprising if Universal Studios didn't outdraw DHS this year.

I don't understand people who say "Yeah, but DHS is only a half day park." Yeah. So? That's Disney's fault. As for why Universal hasn't surged ahead of Disney yet, pretty simple: Disney is still Disney. The majority of people going to Orlando are going to visit WDW. Mostly the Magic Kingdom. That's not going to change until they price the middle class completely out, which will likely be in about 10-15 years.

I'll be honest- I would have taken that bet too.

Although I had an inkling of what was going on when I saw firsthand how crowded the lesser WDW parks were last summer, this time last year I would have totally been willing to bet that one or both Universal parks would have beaten the numbers at DHS, if not Animal Kingdom.

In fairness, they did close the gap considerably.

Got an email today lifting the block out dates for Universal through the end of June. It seems like this summer isn't being kind to any of O-Town's parks so far!

Seaworld is fading out, right now. But they also have a new shiny Attraction (and the rides are not a re-theme) every other year. From my perspective, they are heading in a direction where Rides are the main attendance driver over the animals.

Oh my goodness it is a bunch of stock pictures and one was mislabeled and was corrected within a day.

When you've got this audience telling you that you are blowing this so far out of proportion it's not even sensible, you know you have taken a trip off the deep end.

But if you feel so strongly...write them a letter. Tell them exactly how upset you are and how inexcusable this temporarily mislabeled stock photo has clearly made you. Demand action. Then mail it, certified so a signature is required so you can then follow up with whomever signs for your letter.

I'm sure that getting this report out is the "crunch" time there, and they sure could use the belly laughs that will ensue as they mock you around their offices. Just give them a second when you call to follow-up so they can get you on speaker phone so the whole office can get in on the joy of watching fan-rage.

Why should I bother, Poor internal controls show they don't care about their product so why would they care what I had to say. I'm an engineer and I'm not allowed the luxury of making mistakes like that on my final work product.

The lack of quality at WDW and the nickel and diming of the guests is going to do that very rapidly it's not even going to take price increases to do it. Look at how @WDW1974's leak on CM pricing for WDW's rooms show just how desperate WDW is, Last year there were NO CM discounts and much of the year was blacked out for CM's Not THIS year.

I think the Christmas holidays with no Osbourne Lights is going to to a real wake up call for WDW

Did not read all the posts so if this a repeat sorry. If I did my math right USO increased approx. 1.5 million WDW increased 2.6 million. At this rate USO will catch WDW in ...... ah hmm. As too USO out drawing DHS this year wouldn't surprise me. It is better now. Check again in 5 years.

Within hours, actually. They had caught the error by the time I emailed them.

Yep, good call, I forgot about it. Just made the donation. In case anyone else is feeling generous you can donate here:

It should also be noted that I also just purchased two "Poop Emoji" pool rafts to leave in my parents pool when they return from vacation. My credit card is going to have an interesting combination of expenses.

We're not talking about the Magic Kingdom. Nothing will top that. But your numbers are for Universal Studios (not IOA) versus all 4 WDW parks (including MK).

DHS SHOULD be great when all the work is done, but we've seen this before. New Fantasyland. Things always seem to look better on the drawing board. Who knows what Universal will be up to in 5 years? That's the cool thing about Universal. Not having to wait 5-10 years for something. They announce it, and get it done in 1-2 years. Look at Diagon Alley.
