2014 ICS Elite Eight: Discussion Thread

One Little Spark...
The text on the legend should have been white though. Not very readable. Other than that, the map was very good.

While we're on the subject, I would like to applaud @englanddg and @jdmdisney99 for their excellent maps, and give an honorable mention to @RMichael21's map. Those were my favorites.
Agreed, I should have mentioned that on my @tcool commentary, but forgot. It was very hard to read the legend.

Hmm...Maybe if I say it enough I can get it in their minds to think it true!:jawdrop:

:pThis discussion thread was actually super fun today creating the competition between us:D

Honestly, we are one of the mix up group. It could go either way for us. I wish you the best, but a hope you the worst all the same!

So, @tcool

In my opinion you had the hardest lineup of us all. @jdmdisney99 is voracious when he wants to be, and he proved it with his post.

So, lets dig into yours?

- I'm not sure where you are going with this "rustic" choice. Lets see how it unfolds?

- I loved your attention to detail as to the ROLE the TTC plays.

- Your merch and cafe concepts are both solid, and I think were perfectly described.

- Where it starts to fall apart is when you get into the Ticketing Booths, but that comes together quickly in a moment.

- Ok, I've worked with you a bit in the past, and I'll say this, you need to lay out your concepts before presentation. You end your presentation with the new name, when that should be the first, for example. Though, I'm not sure what the name has to do with your concept, and that marks against you...it doesn't fit. Nice name, just doesn't work.

- I really liked the idea of theming the ticket booths to Disney Characters. Not quite as unique as @RMichael21 using the lands of Disney, but up there!

- You have my, hands down, favorite map of all of the maps presented this challenge. I enjoyed the details.

- You are not alone in this, but the docks seem to be a "toss away" mention. Either re-theme them, or don't, but saying they are "re-themed to match" seems a touch lazy.

- Your detail is amazing. In fact, the most detailed of all the proposals. You really spent time considering what guests would and would not seek from the TTC. I wholly appreciated this.

- Like many, you proposed an improvement to the WDW Transport system. While I think that's grand, I also think it's outside the purview of this challenge. Were it you vs me, I'd call you out on it. But, it isn't, so I'll say since jdm did the same, and you opened that door yourself, you opened yourself to be criticized on your suggestions. Not as developed as his, but on par with his. So, it's moot, for this challenge.

- I'm not sure if you use a phone/ipad or computer to view the forums, but you need to play with your final formatting a bit.

Overall, an excellent post, and certainly the n00b is telling the Old Guard there's talent there! Also, @tcool focused more on the actual venue itself, which was the nature of the challenge request. This is something that @jdmdisney99 balanced well, but still spent quite a bit of time outside of the TTC.

For those reasons...

I also can't call this one. As I think @tcool's concept deserves 4.5 out of 5 stars.

So two ties!

Mostly phone for this challenge.

I may have forgotten to put anything about the ferry and name till today.

I like my map too took me some hours I think it took me the longest time out of everything.

Im very bad with presentation.
