One Little Spark...
I'll start with @RMichael21
- I thought your post was very well organized, and easy to read. Though, I do wish you'd put the map towards the top so I'd have a visual reference as I read the descriptions. But, like most of what I'm saying here, that's a minor gripe.
- While @Voxel's statement "It can be agreed that the Magic Kingdom is a magical place and experience however the atmosphere of the Transportation and Ticket Center is that of an Atlanta Greyhound Station." is certainly the most amusing, I felt your introduction was hands down the best of all the submissions. I LOVED how you described the transition and quoted Walt. VERY well done, and excellent writing!
- I really enjoyed your idea to break up the various areas of MK and represent them across the TTC. That is unique thinking, yet fits quite well with the overall theme and structure of the area. As a result, I'm going to continue this with breakdowns of each section...the only thing I did NOT like was the recreation of Cinderella Castle. Rather, I wish you'd taken it into something more vague, rather than a scale model (as implied). Say, a fountain that "resembles" or "pays homage", not just a cheap model. It just comes off a bit tacky to me (though I wholly grant had you had more space to work with for your final post, you may have gone a different direction).
- I will mention again, I really loved the concept of the themed ticket kiosks with their own ambient soundtracks! Just exciting!
- I'm really not sure what the Fantasyland Shops bring to anything. They are rather out of the way and feel like an afterthought. Perhaps if they had inhabited the space to the south that you have as trees so Monorail Guests who arrive or depart would also see and experience them they'd be a bit better? I just don't see it, frankly.
- You are the only one to mention reimagined Monorails (that I recall as of now, I'm still re-reading them all), and I wish you'd spent a sentence more on that, or dropped it. The whole concept felt rushed and shoved in at the last minute.
- Gardens of Magic seems like a great transition from Poly to the TTC, and something which adds to both the Resort and TTC.
Overall, I think the unified theme (that being representing MK and Disney) was very well done. That being said, the whole area seems to be spread out with no cohesive grouping. Meaning, it's a park (not a theme park, but a city park) that has transportation and limited shopping options, and outside of a few high points, I didn't pick up much that made it anything but. Overall though, I really enjoyed this concept.
I give it 4.0 out of 5 stars.
