After two rounds, we see our first park eliminated. Animal Kingdom entered this round with three attractions left standing, but Safaris, Everest and DINOSAUR all wilted as the competition intensified, leaving WDW's fourth park with no representation in the Sweet 16.

It was also a tough round for the original Disney park, as Disneyland saw 6 of its remaining 11 attractions booted, dropping it behind Magic Kingdom in remaining attractions for the first time in the competition.

And on the double attraction front, Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain advance on both sides of the country.

Naturally, it just gets tougher from here. In theory, we could see a pair of Splash/Mansion showdowns in the Elite 8, with the Anaheim and Orlando versions of those rides currently right next door to each other. In practice, that might be tough to achieve...especially with the perennially rugged DHS ToT standing in front of DL's Splash.

Mr. Toad vs. TTA looks like a match of largely sentimental rides, while Indy/SSE and DL Space/MK Splash look like the toughest matches to me.

Spaceship Earth (Ep) vs. Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye (DL) — This is very hard. I'm just going with the gut, but it could just as easily go the other way.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (DL) vs. Tomorrowland Transit Authority (MK) — I think I actually like riding TTA more, but not THAT much more. Might as well keep Toad around a little longer. I like the little guy.

Pirates of the Caribbean (MK) vs. Haunted Mansion (MK) — One classic and one uber-classic.

Space Mountain (DL) vs. Splash Mountain (MK) — I'll admit it. I'm voting against Splash basically because I get tired of seeing it win.
