It's postseason baseball baby! Thought I would start another thread this year for us to talk some baseball, pick our favorites, root on our teams and do a little trash talking! I'm counting down the minutes until 5:07 when Roy Halladay kicks off another amazing October in Philly.

So, who are your picks?

ALDS:
Yanks over Twins
Rays over Rangers

NLCS:
Phils over Reds
Giants over Braves

NLCS:
Phils over Giants

ALCS:
Yanks over Rays

WS:
Phils in 6!! I only hope it goes 6 games because I have tickets to game 6....:sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

Here's to another parade down Broad Street!

ALDS
*Yankees
*Rays

NLDS
*Phillies
*Giants

ALCS
*Rays

NLCS
*Phllies

WS

*Phillies (The number of games is dependent upon the money to be made per game by the Mob Bosses :p )

I have never been correct in my predictions, including the years that the Red Sox won the World Series. Although I take an extreme amount of jabbing from Yankees fans, including some on this forum, I'm really mellow about the whole "Yankee hater" thing. While I do not wish them well, I really prefer to allow sports to be fun, not hateful or bitter.
I think that the Phillies have more of a complete package over the other contenders this year. In truth, I would prefer to see the Rays win the World Series because of their accomplishments despite a more limited budget.

As long as it's not the Yankees or the Phillies I'll be ecstatic. What? No! No bitter Mets fan here...what are you talking about?

I just want good games, none of this blowout 4 game sweep nonsense.

Is it 5:00 yet?
Meh since the Cubs aren't in it I guess I'll root for the Braves..:dazzle: I think the majority of predictions that I have seen have the Phillies winning it all...I think it would be cool to have an underdog win it though...who would that be?? The Rays?

I'd say the Reds would be the big underdogs. However, things aren't looking so good for them right now.

As a Met fan, things have been real tough for me. Can't root for the Yanks, can't root for the Phils, and chances are that will be the World Series again.

Although I usually root for a National League team, it's hard not to like the Rays.

Wow - I don't recall writing this!

Do you get WFAN by you - did you hear Jeff Wilpon on Boomer & Carton. I give the guy credit for going on a morning show and taking calls from fans - it was good to know he DEFINITELY knows how fans feel about Ollie P and Louis Castillo! The interview was VERY awkward.

Phillies/Yankees WS was like watching New England & Miami play on Monday Night Football...can they both lose? :hammer:

Big WFAN listener. Yes, it was a very awkward conversation. I do applaud him for taking the calls.

Looks like Tampa might be on their way out, close to falling to 0-2 and going to Texas.

I know Texas is a great team but I'd rather the yanks play them than the Rays if they get there.

That was 3 amazing games played yesterday. Like most other people, I had gone to bed while Minnesota was up and didn't know the Yankees won until this morning.

There is nothing else to be said about Halladay. The man is dominating, exudes class and has captured this city. Mike Schimidt who may be the greatest Phillie of all time called it the "greatest moment in Philadelphia sports history". Amazing.

Then there's Orlando Cabrera. "He and the umpire pitched a no-hitter. He gave him every pitch basically. We had no chance." You were dominated by a great pitcher...acknowlege he pitched a great game and move on. Way to be classy in defeat, you jerk.

I heard that. I love seeing athletes that are modest! So refreshing these days! But I still hate the Phillies (except for Utley...I *loooove* him!!) Ahhh - like I said earlier - just an extremely bitter Mets fan (these past few years have been ROUGH)!
