Does Anyone Know when Disney is planning to release the Rates for 2007? I'm trying to plan a trip for that january. also, would it be better for me to book now and have them adjust my costs or wait till they post it?

i was on the official disney website yesterday actually looking for 2007 rates and was unable to find them they have a awsome new thing where you can chat live with a disney worker and i was informed that they would be out in mid summer but you can book by phone now just not online

The 2007 Room-Only Reservation rates are available if booked by phone (407-W-DISNEY.) These room-only rates should be available online hopefully by early July, baring and further challenges.
The 2007 Vacation Packages are still under review, but should be released sometime by mid to late July. I will be happy to post all information concerning them, including any changes from the 2006 offers, once they have been officially released.

Also desperately seeking 2007 rates
EXTREMELY frustrating that they dont release the following years rates until soo late. Through talking to several different travel agents I have found out that they will release them in July for travel agents. I personally will be booking through AAA they give a screamin discount of 35% off room rates at the Dolphin!!! 15% for Other WDW resorts. I am going in feb 2007 so I am as anxious as you to book!

Are you asking about applying discounts to rooms, or are you just waiting for the rack rates to be announced?
In the past, I've almost always booked our reservations early, and then called back and applied whatever discount once it was announced. There's never been a problem.
Either way, I'd say go ahead and book it! Then you can tell everyone you're Officially Going To Disney World!

We planned to visit next year at Port Orleans Riverside from April 9 to April 18, and the season changes almost in the middle of that time. My wife got the momma hen syndrome already of not wanting to leave the baby for two weeks, so we're cutting the trip down to a week. I just called Disney to ask them when the season changes and the lady said that peak season is Feb 14-April 14 and regular season is April 15-May 23. Originally, it was going to cost us $185 a night because we would be checking in during peak season. But now I think we're gonna postpone the vacation a week and check in Monday April 16 instead of Monday April 10. This way, it will be on the regular season prices, which will be $165 a night. I know that this information is incomplete but I hope it helps.

If you're checking in during Peak Season, but the Value Season rates will be offered during your stay, make Two Different Reservations, and take advantage of the savings.
This won't be necessary if you check in during Value Season, and then the Peak Season kicks in during your stay, you'll still be charged the rate at which you originally checked in.
For instance, I'm paying two nights Peak Season for our visit August 25-26, and then switiching to Value Season Rates August 27 - Sept. 3.
Hope this makes sense. It seems a bit confusing!
