20,000 Demolition Coming, So What's Next? (New)

Thank you for the pics. The show building is huge. Maybe they should just create a new Toon Town in the lagoon area and move the Teacups over there too then have a new land in the Indy Speedway and Toontown Fair area.

I think a Jules Verne (Nemo) would make a good transition between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland
If anyone is thinking this will be the option they choose. Keep the 20,000 concept from TDS and whatever else WDI can come up with. They would have a full house everyday!

I've looked at the pictures and I still think that even if you remove the speedway and move the tea cups over, you still wouldn't have enough room for a new land, although I must say that looking at these pics does make MTTF look really small.

As a villians fan I would love to see something along those lines happen, but something inside of me doubts it. I would also love to see more come over from TDL and TDS, but again, something inside of me doubts it. Anywho, I guess I'll wait till Lee comes up with more information.

Why would anyone want Storybook land or a Maze to be put in as a replacement? Sure these things are "cute" and "fun" but c'mon folks. This needs to either be an awesome ride or at least something very well themed. A little mini-land of some sort. Since MK can no longer expand from its current size, this is the oppurtunity to build some great things. I'm all for getting an awesome thrill ride at MK. We already got Philharmagic and Winnie the Pooh. It doesn't have to be The Hulk, but something along the lines of Splash Mountain would be great.

Exactly. They already replaced AE with Stitch (well, either way AE was getting old but they probably killed two birds with one stone) and opened up a couple of kiddie rides in the past years so why not something a little wild? So what if it's Fantasyland, does that mean that everything to do with Fantasy has to be slow and boring? The fact that it IS Fantasyland gives the imagineers even more options. Just my .02..

I have a feeling very soon that the Speedway is going to go...hopefully soon. But I believe that the 20k area is going to be a huge idea in Fantasyland.

Okay, even though this idea is wild, this is what my dream would be to happen...

Of course, the lagoon and show building would be demolished. Now, it is time to slightly expand onto Ariel's Gorroto. The exansion would include more interactive features, and, an interactive walkthrough maze like Alice in DLP. The other half of the 20K space would be a new show building. And on one side (taking up most of it) would be Pinnochio's Daring Journey.

And on the other side would be a new shop for the Fantasyland area themed around Pinnochio (well duh lol). Oh, also in Fantasyland, the facades would have a major makeover to make them look more like DLR's.

Now (this is where it gets wild), say buh bye to Mickey's Toontown Fair ENTIRELY. Woosh. Everything is gone. Now imagine the new Villain's Land. You enter at the same place like MTTF, but then you are surrounded by dilapidated and creepy buildings. In some you'll find shops, quick eats, a sit down type restaraunt, and a funny, musical type show that tells classic Disney tales Villain style (this means that the Villains would tell their version of the story in a kind of musical way).

Also now, Indy Speedway will be demolished, making a large area for the main attraciton. The area would go from where about Barnstormer is (or in this case, used to be) all the way to half of the Indy area. This is where the Bald Mountain/Kingdom Hearts attraction would be. I'm thinking some kind of a water coaster.

Okay, so the new land goes from Fantasyland, to the railroad, and to part of Tomorrowland. It is now where we act like the DLR. From the railroad station, you go under the tracks (just like DLR) and over to the brand new Toontown, where it will be almost similar to the one at the DLR.

Other things I thought of were to change Timekeeper into a giant planetarium-type attraction, but that's another story.

So, what do you think?

OH!! *this is an edit* I forgot. The remaining space left over from the Indy ride would fit a Jr. Autopia attraction. It would be much better (but smaller because of space) than Indy.

I want the peacful lake area transitioning Fantasyland to Tommorowland like Disneyland has.

I think Storybookland would be really cool there though.

And Discoverybay could work also but it would probably be smarter to build it behind Adventureland to give the volcano concept and such.

The wife heard from somebody at her job today that the demolition of the ride building's going to cost $10 million. They said once they're done it's going to be an area with grass and trees.

Hopefully that'll just be a placeholder for a time until they can get something substantial put in there.

I've never played the game, but is Kingdom Hearts popular enough with the general public to justify an attraction (not to mention 3rd party fees)?
As far as the volcano goes see Adventureland would work, but if you theme it like they to at TDS so that there is more green on the Fantasyland side it might not look so out of place.
