My next trip to WDW is on 8/21/09- 8/29/09 and im going with my girlfriends family. One day that we are there half the group is going horseback riding and the other half for massages at the GF. I kind of have a small fear or riding horses (look what they did to Superman, and dont really want a massage.

What should I do with my time by my self?

Tours ive done:
Backstage Safari
Behind the Seeds
Dolphins in Depth
Backstage Magic

What should I do, a tour, go to a parK????

Heck yeah go to a park!! Being by yourself is great, you can get in the single rider lines and get on most of the popular rides a lot quicker than usual. Plus you can do more aince you are by yourself. IMHO I'd go for my favorite park and enjoy those 2-3 hours. :king::D

I suggest trying a contest you place for yourself. For instance, how many times can you ride JIIwF during the time duration? SSE perhaps. See if you can set a goal and pass it. :D

If you enjoy taking photos this would be a good time. You can take your time composing a picture and take several shots without worrying that you're holding everyone up. I'm actually debating skipping a couple rides on my next trip to do just that.

Also, it's nice to be able to go at your own pace. If you want to sit and people watch, you can, or visit some stores or attractions that you are interested in that the rest of your family might not be.

I would definately hit the parks!

Actually this is really hard to decide. I would do behind the magic but you should do that with your GF. I think i would eat my way around the MK.

hmmm...

I loved the Wild by Design tour, I took it in May of 2008 and you get to go into the park early and learn about how the park was developed and have a small braekfast and it was really wonderful, I am thinking about doing it again in October...

On my last trip in december 07 I had a morning to myself, I had great time riding splash mountain, my wife and son hate it and won't ride it, enjoyinga dole whip while people watching and doing my Christmas shopping. Go for it, if nothing else go to World Showcase and explore and have a few different beers.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I want to do the scuba tour in TLS but am not certified. I might try to get certified before then, does anyone know how long it takes to get scuba certified.

Also I could just spend the time in the Rose and Crown!

I say either the pool and book idea.. the extreme park and ride idea.. or checking out some of the other resorts. Hopefully you will get such good ideas from this thread that you won't even be able to choose! :p:wave:
